View all 358 complaintsAmericas Best Value Inn - Refused to refund my money on a room I paid for was undergoing electrical work when we got there. No other rooms available so couldn't stay there.
Got to the hotel to check in and was told that my room didn't have electricity at the moment and the electrician was currently working on it. Said it had air-conditioning and running water, but no lights.. Was told it shouldn't take more than an hour. Got the key and Came back 5 hours later. Walk up to the door and see lights on through the curtains of the window and hear a woman laughing inside our room. Went to the front desk and the General Manager told me the electricians were still working on the lights. I told him we could see the lights on and laughter coming from the room. He said they were still working on it because the room needed a new electrical box. Said there were no other rooms available and if I wanted a refund I'd have to go through Expedia to request it and that he approved it on his end. Contacted Expedia to request refund and was told the business denied my refund. Contacted the General Manager and he told me he was never contacted and that it was Expedia was not being truthful. Asked him to email me a copy of my reservation showing he approved my refund and he agreed.. never received the email or my refund.
Desired outcome: I want my money refunded

Stealing money off of my and my daughter card and she has never stayed there Unsafe / unsanitary room, lack of response, lies Hotel kept my money and the room was already paid for. rude employees, old/worn bedding, bad housekeeping Fix this place. Of course it would be nice to be refunded. That's not happening I'm sure.Giving a Voice to Consumers
