0n jul 9 2019 i took my f 150 in because the tailgate wouldnt open (invoice 424952). When i went in to pick up truck i noticed they had moved the backup camera from the tailgate handle to the bumper. This was done totally without my consent or knowledge prior to them moving camera. I said as long as it was completely usable i had no problem with it but if it wasnt i would bring it back to have it resolved. After a few days i tried to use truck to move camper, but you couldnt see anything when backing uo to tongue, all you see is the ball on the hitch, u couldnt see tongue at all. I took truck back in and told them the i wanted the problem resolved. My service advisor said they would take care of it move camera and replace bumper because they had drilled holes in it. Up until now i have made several calls to talk to service dept. My advisor said he would call me back but has not called one time. I have made several trips to dealership to check on the handle they said they had to locate. I dont see why they cant find a handle so they can move camera back to original location. I bought the truck new and palm bay had the truck taken somewhere else to have camera installed since it was after market item. It took them a day to install camera in the handle of tailgate. I was completely satisfied. I want the problem resolved i dont care if they have to replace the whole backup camera system with in dash system or what, it should not take from ill say from around 15 jul till now to locate a handle and bumper and get them replaced. Something needs to be done or ill have no recourse but to esculate this problem since it was done without my knowledge or consent. Replace the whole system at no cost because service dept did this on their own. My service advisor was steve roth on all occasions in this matter. At times hes has been threating to me and rude.
