Planet Fitness - Membership Cancellation for Michael Davis [protected]

My husband who is a stage IV cancer patient went into the Nine Mile club in Pensacola to cancel his membership. It was not cancelled but put on hold, which is not what he asked for at the time of cancellation. They started taking the fees out again, so he went back to the club to cancel only to be told the computers were down, twice in a week. They were nice but said the computers were down all week. We go back again tonight, and Kelly was rude and refused to cancel the membership because of where we parked just outside the door, same place he parked previously. We were not blocking people walking in or traffic and it was 9:00 at night. It is a struggle for him to get up to the club to be treated this way. It seems that there was some racial tension with her towards my husband. She also made a remark that she does not believe he has cancer. He had a 21-hour surgery in February two years ago and he is terminal. We have proof from Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa if we need to go the legal route. We just want the membership cancelled. We joined hoping it would build his stamina, but it was just too much for him. He has an ostomy bag because his entire colon was removed. I was going to go back and get a membership for myself since I was the guest with his Silver Sneakers membership; but I will never step another foot in a Planet Fitness after the way my husband was treated tonight. I will now send a certified letter since they are not willing to cancel the membership. I am extremely upset tonight! It is absolutely horrible for a company to treat a customer the way he was treated tonight! He joined hoping it would help him but due to his limitations and the ostomy bag, it was too hard on him. Then this! We were told at the time he signed up all he had to do to cancel was come back to the club to fill out a cancellation form. That was a total lie! Kelly needs ethics training, and she needs to be reprimanded. I would like to be contacted by a corporate officer as soon as possible. I can be reached at [protected] and my name is Tammy Davis.

Desired outcome: Cancellation of membership and all monthly fees refunded since he went in the first time when they chose to put the membership on hold rather than cancel.
