We are pretty regular candle users and are not unfamiliar with Yankee Candle products, but after the first couple of uses of this candle, we noticed a prolific amount of soot on every surface of our common room the candle was burning in. Our family had soot in our noses, throats, and I can even feel irritation in my lungs. We noticed our noses filled with soot before we noticed we had an issue with the candle. The candle wick was trimmed properly, but produced a larger than normal flame for a wick that size.
Claimed loss: $36. I am really much more concerned about the soot in our house as well as our noses and lungs. There was damage to our air purifier as well as our door frames and walls.
Desired outcome: I need Yankee Candle company to understand that this had a significant impact on our home and potentially our health as well. I have never had an issue with your candles before, but it will be hard for me to use them after this.
