Target - fraud

11/20/10-Purchased 20" Dynacraft bicycle.Bike was poor quality.Required bearings within 90 days.Called Target on 2/26/11.Store claimed 90 days over, would not refund or exchange.I did not return within 90 days because I was refused refund on prior defective items-Cust Serv claimed must be in new condition with original packaging, which is impossible for defective items. No posted return policy in store for defective items-Cust Service lied about Target return policy for defective items.Since Target refused in past to refund defective items within 90 days, I waited until 96 days to complain to store manager about poor quality of bicycle.Target refused to refund since after 90 days.2/26/11-Manager Tim said bring bike to store, maybe mechanic can fix.Mechanic did nothing, said he was told not to fix bikes after 90 days.Called mfr. Dynacraft. They sent bearings under parts warranty.I Repaired bike.Again called Dynacraft on 3/31/11-front brakes bent, rear tire and inner tube damaged.Dynacraft sent brakes under parts warranty.I am not bicycle mechanic.Bike very poor quality.Keeps breaking.Other people posted review that bike hardly lasts 3 months.I've had many bicycles, never one of such poor quality.I want a refund or exchange for better quality bicycle, and Target must post store policy for defective items and stop lying to customers that defective items must be in new condition with all original packaging. I WILL NEVER SHOP AT TARGET AGAIN. WALMART HAS MUCH BETTER RETURN POLICY.

It is rare that new bearings wear out quickly on a bike due to a manufacturing "defect".

I've seen it happen if the bike is washed often and not immediately compressed air blown dried and re-lubed.

Water and detergents wash out the grease in the bearings causing them to wear out quickly.

MX bikes exposed to a lot of water, mud, and dirt, will also develop this problem if not properly cleaned.
