I became a member of Bluegreen Vacations on 03/28/2021, and during the presentation, I was provided with several statements that have proven to be untrue. For instance, it was claimed that timeshare owners have priority at resorts, but I have discovered that the opposite is true. Most of the rooms are actually reserved for the general public to maximize profits, leaving only a limited number available for actual owners. Additionally, I was told that points rolled over, but I recently found out that they expire.
As an owner for the past two years, I have faced difficulties booking anything because of the limited availability for owners. Recently, I managed to book an 8-day stay in Florida for my family, with 4 days in Orlando at the Fountains and 4 days at the Tradewinds in St. Pete. However, I just received a call today, just a week before my vacation, stating that my reservation at the Tradewinds is being canceled due to renovations. This short notice is extremely inconvenient, especially considering that I have already spent nearly $2000.00 on activities in St. Pete.
Moreover, I found out that I could book my reserved dates on the Tradewinds website as a member of the general public. It is frustrating to see that as a timeshare owner, I am not given preferential treatment and that my reservation is being canceled for maintenance reasons while rooms are still available for the general public.
I believe that Bluegreen should take responsibility for this mix-up and inconvenience by covering the costs associated with rearranging my reservation. There have been past class-action lawsuits against the company for misrepresenting the benefits offered to owners, which is both unlawful and unjust.
This being my first time using my points, I am highly disappointed with the level of service I have received just a week before my vacation. I demand that this issue be escalated to someone with the authority to address it appropriately. If not resolved satisfactorily within 24 hours, I may be forced to seek legal advice.
Please note that I have recorded our conversations just as Bluegreen records its calls. I have evidence of the misrepresentations made by your company, which is quite concerning. At this point, I am beginning to feel that this membership might be a scam, as it has not been beneficial to me and the service has been far below my expectations.
I expect a call back within 24 hours with a solution that is comparable to my original reservation, preferably with a room at the Tradewinds, as those are the rooms you didn't inform me about during the timeshare sales pitch. You may reach me at [protected]. JESSICA SIMPKISS

well you lied in your first statement so how can we take you serious, im an owner and so is my family and friends we know how to use our points and we have been to almost every site and besides the fountains every where we go is nothing but owners, they are not allowing nonowners ver owners stay , you just dont book or youre a lower level and cant book out early
