American Signature Furniture - overpriced and bad quality furniture!

I was so happy to walk into this store and find the exact style of couch that I was searching for with just one visit. We measured, we checked it out and it was just want I wanted. The furniture was delivered exactly when it was promised and then the problems began. The couch is a sectional and the clip will not old so that each time someone sits down the couch breaks apart, the leather nap has been scratched in several places so the fabric shows, the underlining is falling down, the wood legs had chips and the couch had several dirty marks on it (it is white).

I called & was told someone would call for an appointment to come out to take care of the repairs right away. I called for a week and couldn't get anyone to come out to look at the repairs.

I reported it to corporate and immediately (3 days later!) a man called to make an appointment. A dirty farmer type person showed up at my door and put his dirty fingerprints all over the couch and told me that he was so busy fixing all of their furniture he didn't know when he would be back. He told me the whole couch needed to be reupholstered, new legs were ordered and a new clip for the sectional. This was a month ago. No one has contacted me and they are now not returning my calls. If I had wanted a reupholstered couch I would have had my old one done. I have since learned through the internet that I possibly could have bought this same junk furniture at Big Lots and saved myself $500 or more. Great.

This expensive pie
ce of furniture is peeling and shredding after very little use. I am widow so used with care. This is junk. Where is consumer protection. Kanes and Rooms to Go have class action suits against similar product. Why not American Signature?

Bought a sectional about 4 years ago and told it was leather. And now it's peeling. Spent about 2500 for it. There's no way it's suppose to be peeling! Highly upset!

We bought a Simmons top of the line mattress from Value City in 2007. Value city took the mattress back, after two visits to our house by a mattress inspector to make sure it was a warranty issue and issued us a credit for a new mattress. We went to the store to pick out another mattress in the same price range and it is worse than the first one. They will not take it back for us to pick out another. This is a $1500 mattress - which doesn't even include the box spring. Now we are stuck with something that we can't even sleep on.

My boyfriend and I purchased a sofa, chair and matching ottoman from the American Signature Furniture store located on Route 31 in Clay, New York.

We were very excited to find something that we both liked and that since we were purchasing an American Signature set that we were guaranteed a 10 year warranty. Our salesman was great, talked up the company and bragged about the craftmanship and quality of the furniture. We left the store confident that we had purchased a great set of furniture for our new home.

As soon as the furniture was delivered, the nightmare began. They delivered a broken sofa! The delivery men told my boyfriend that there was a brace on the underside of the sofa that was broken but that they would send a repair person out to fix it as soon as they could.

My boyfriend contacted me at work with the news and I literally went off the deep end. I immediately contacted the store and spoke with a manager who told me the same thing, that they'd send someone out to repair it right away. I told him point blank, "the hell you will" and went on to tell him that they would be delivering me a brand new sofa to replace the broken one. I asked him why he thought I would take a brand new broken piece of furniture knowing about the 10 year warranty and that I just failed to see the logic. I never received an apology and was just disgusted and dumbfounded that anyone in their right mind would think it was acceptable to think it was ok to deliver a damaged piece of furntire and even more ludicrous that someone would accept it!

I will never recommend this company to anyone and know now that sometimes spending some extra money on the same piece of furniture at a different store is totally worth it.

On Saturday March19, 2011 I submitted my not- for- profit credentials to your store manager (Indianapolis Castleton Store on 82 nd St.), in hope that your company would help two homeless female veterans. Both ladies have a child and have recently received housing through a new grant program; they have no furniture nor the bear necessities.

Please contact me if it is possible to donate any furnishings; all donations are tax deductible and would be greatly appreciated by the families.

Purchased living, 2 bedrooms, dinette, dinning room with 1 twin sofa for den on Nov. 20, 2010. Furniture delivered on Dec. 4, 2010, backordered dinning room buffet. Living room sectional missing holes for legs. Buffet was delivered on 12/11, the only drawer would not open. Wrong color legs were sent out for sectional. A no show date on Dec. 23rd (my birthday). Another buffet sent in January. Awaiting refund of delivery fee, mailed on Jan. 28th, still not received. Manager outright lied about repairman date and reps on phone said we will be finished with you and laughed openly. Never Again!

I bought a 1200.00 bedroom set 16 months ago. The solid word frame had a defect in it. The side rail split and the right side of the bed collapsed knocking me to the floor. I called about the set, since the salesman told me it had a lifetime warranty..."furniture to last a lifetime"...or so their brochure says...hahaha. I was treated horribly. A young lady named Nicky at customer service was so incredibly rude to me. It took several phone calls, especially since they are famous for saying, we will call u right back and never call back, two store visits, a half day loss of wages to wait for a service tech who forgot to show up on time, to finally tell me the rail was broken(like I didnt know that) but he could glue it even though it wouldn't stay. The same customer service rep finally informed me that I had no warranty but as a courtesy, I could buy a new rail for 40.00 and it would be delivered. I asked to pick it up because I couldnt take more time off. She told me it was impossible that I would have to wait for delivery from them. Ridiculous...I have never been treated so poorly. They have no integrity...I cannot believe they have stayed in business this long.

I bought a living room set from value city two years ago. I have had nothing but trouble. The love seat is coming apart a the seams. The couch the springs are coming through along with iron along the creases. I have called twice with no response. I have spoken with a store manager who has given a number that no one has returned my calls. He also made it very difficult to get that number. The only story I get is that your furniture is out of warranty and you didn't purchase an exstended warranty. I am sorry. How ever i don't feel i need buy a warranty for structural. I did purchase for rips tears and stains.I think this is crazy and my furniture needs to be replaced or repaired.

I was in need of a new stylish bed. Went to VCF after seeing the commercial so many times. Walked in the place was beautiful, organized, appealing, prices set on the furniture and easy to navigate through the store.

BUT it was all a mirage! They did not have the bed, mattress or foundation in the store all of it was on back order I really liked the bed so I paid in full and decided to wait from feb19 until march24 for it to be delivered to the store. I called them mon. the 21st to make sure it was on the way was rudely talked to over the phone and told that it will be there when the receipt said it would!?

The very next day they called and left a message saying my pick-up date has been moved to April 21 I called again and was treated as if I was the problem and as if they paid for my bed instead. Still waiting on my money back the saga continues will be back with details..
