Buyer beware
If you purchase furniture from American Signature Furniture and item received is damaged know that they will keep the delivery fee and may also charge you a 15% restocking fee. Also when trying to have the furniture returned it will likely be around a week and who knows when you will get your full credit. I paid for my couch in full. After the sale you are a memory to them.
Recommendation: Do not shop there. They do not stand behind the quality of their merchandise after the sale.
I purchased an attractive brown leather couch on 8/19/23. The total cost including 5 year warranty and delivery was paid in full for $2,654.97. The sales person was very professional and her name was Crystal Broomer. I purchased from the Bear, DE 19701 location. When the furniture was delivered and installed noticed that there was a large embedded scratch in the leather. The delivery driver immediately called American Signature to let them know. I asked if item can be returned and he said I needed to followup with American Signature. Shortly after the delivery driver left I called and was told that they could offer me a discount if I accepted the damaged furniture. I told them I was not interested. They wanted to send someone in the near future to repair. I refused. I paid too much and wanted a new, un-damaged piece of furniture. I confirmed I wanted to return the couch. I was initially told I would be responsible for the $199.00 delivery and 15% restocking fee. Of course I was not happy. In the past I have always purchased my furniture from Raymount & Flanigan. I took a chance and purchased from you. From then on everything has been downhill. I spoke to the salesperson and she advised I would only have to pay $199 which I cannot believe. The furniture a has been covered and unused in my house since Saturday and now will not be picked up until Thursday. They cannot give me a confirmation of timing. Steer clear of this store! Worst customer service - Deceiving information! We purchased a dining room set and a couple of nightstands in August 2023 with delivery date for October (nightstands) and December for the dining room set. Even with such a long delivery, we patiently waited. In November we found out the End chairs wouldn't be delivered until February 2024 and 1 week prior to the regular delivery date, we were told the table wouldn't' be delivered until Mid/End January! Really? What are we to do without a dining table?
We called to cancel and had to stress out to get the delivery fee refunded as well? Really? This is the worst experience EVER purchasing furniture and NO ONE should ever have to go through this! And then get stressed for not getting a partial delivery fee!? Who runs this company?
Do yourself a favor - purchase anywhere else but American Signature Furniture / Value City Furniture.

Chaise with large stain/spot on it!!!
I have contacted the warranty dept and was denied coverage of this huge stain that just appeared out of no where on my sofa. I don't know if I used the wrong terminology but I don't understand how this under 2yr old sofa with this huge discoloration or stain is not covered.
I used the term discoloration or maybe I should've said stain; however, it looks as if it's peeling or was spray painted. How can I get some assistance from corporate? This sofa looks absolutely awful especially being 2 years old!

It was purchased on December 27th and delivered to home on December 31st, 2021.
Desired outcome: I purchased a 5 year warranty but was denied with least than a 2 yr. old sofa.
Tried to return this sofa after a month when I realized that the chaise was too short and not the size advertised in the store. I was turned down to get another sofa and offered to replace the chaise; well they did and they replaced it with the same exact wrong size as before and that was it for that situation. Very upset because my husband and I tried it out in the store to make sure it was long enough for him!
After keeping it now for least than 2 years, it started fading but I thought nothing of it because leather does sometimes do that but I woke up one morning and there was a huge spot there out of nowhere. When I put claim in the warranty dept. I was told that discoloration was not covered so I guessed I used the wrong terminology when you can clearly see this is a problem. I don't know if its a spot, a peel or what, it just appeared out of nowhere and I called it a discoloration and was DENIED! My sofa is not even 2 years and looks absolutely terrible! I've had my other leather sofa for over 15 years and it looks not even close to this! Just ridiculous!
Bed set
I purchased this set in November of 2021, the wood railing on one side, split down the middle. I asked was it warranted, representative stated no. Okay, how much does it cost to purchase the wood rail? You can't. What can I do? Nothing! So basically no resolution or help on how to get the part. Rude. So basically, I have a non- functioning bed because you won't let me purchase the rail that you obviously have because you said it's out of warranty. Not that it's not available.

Dining room table
If you are in need of furniture, please do not shop at this store. I purchased a dining room table and living room set that was worth over $3,000.00. When the furniture arrived, the dining room table was damaged. I did not worry becuase I knew I had a one year store warranty and a 4 year manufactors warranty. I called the store and within days it was replaced.
My problem is that when I purchased the items, I clearly asked the representative if the table stains due to the fact that I have small children that visit my home. I was told "No" that the table was marble and that it will not stain. In less than a year, a liquid was spilled on the table, and even theough we cleaned it immediately up, it stained the table. The incident happened over the weekend. I put in a claim via the manufacture's website and was advised that I needed to contact the store. So I called the store and the store sent a repair man to evaluate it (this incident is within the 1 year store warranty). The repairman informed my husband and I that it needs to be replaced and that I should be hearing from someone within a few days. I week went by and no one called to advise when they would replace the table. I called twice and finally a store representative said they will not honor the store warranty. Please DO NOT SHOP at this store. The salesman /store do not honor defective merchandise and I will be reporting to the BBB.

Sofa and loveseats
In March of 2022 my wife and I went into American Signature Furniture to purchase a sofa and two loveseats. We found a style we liked and ordered them. To our amazement, they were ready to be delivered in a week. Within a few months we noticed the armrest padding seemed to deteriorating. Upon further inspection I found padding missing from other areas. One sofa and two loveseats and 6 armrests that have deteriorated padding. I have been calling since November of 2022 and keep getting excuses and the run around. We had two people that came to inspect the furniture and both agreed that the furniture is defective. Today I noticed on one of the loveseats that behind the back cushion that it is concaved.
Further signs of a poorly constructed, defective piece of furniture. I spoke to a customer service rep from their corporate office who listened to my complaints, then told me should have the store manager call me. Have not heard back from anyone. Sales rep lied about sectional being covered for any reason for 3 years!
I purchased a sectional sofa for $4500 from the Tampa location and within 10 months the fabric is completely tearing apart. It is just me and my husband sitting on the couch - no kids or dogs. Basic average use - and it's falling apart! I called the warranty department, and they said it is not covered! I was lied to! It was not a misunderstanding or miscommunication. I was lied to about the warranty on the couch! This need to be resolved. This is completely unacceptable to do this to customer just for a sale.

Automatic lift reclining chair.
I bought an automatic lift chair for my 91 yr old parent, as they had lost mobility, and unable to easily get up and down. I bought a full warranty on the chair. Exactly 1 yr from purchase the remote stopped working. It took them 6 weeks (and several phone calls) to get a service tech to come out and tell me the remote wasn't working. In the mean time the chair is useless to us, as my parent cannot get in or out of it without help. We could not fins a comparable remote to purchase on line. "9 months later" and at least 20 phone calls I finally get them to just replace the chair. In doing so they said I would have to buy another warranty on the new chair and also pay a delivery fee. After getting the new chair, which was the only thing they had in stock so I didn't have much of a choice, and it was more expensive and of lesser quality... the engine on the replacement chair stopped working in just 2 weeks. Which was in October of 2022. It is now almost February of 2023 and we still do not have any resolve on the engine replacement for the replacement chair. Bottom line, I have paid well over $1400 (with all the fees and nonsense) for 1 chair. It has been 2 years and my elderly parent still does not have a chair that they cannot get out of without help. This company had been one of the most inconsiderate and irresponsible business I have ever dealt with. I pray that no one ever treats their executives' elderly parents as rude and inconsiderate as they have treated mine. And I have made sure and let every social media outlet know how I feel.
Desired outcome: I just want a functional chair, so my parent can get in and out of their chair without assistance....which is the whole reason we bought the chair to begin with 2 years ago. Or a full refund for what I have invested.

I was shopping at your Brandon Florida store and purchased a 1500 sectional. I paid for the furniture only to check the receipt soon afterwards and find several charges on the sectional were added. a total of 329.00 for ins and delivery that I said NO to the scratch tear warranty and sales said to front door delivery was not charged. I purchased furniture online for approximately six hundred dollars using Capital One Card, ASF provided a delivery date which the furniture was expected, it arrived several days early in torn open damage boxes, when I contacted them to report and return, they suggested I drive twenty-five miles to their store and be charged a restocking charge of 20%, I refused and contacted FEDEX who agreed to return to the supplier at no charge, ASF now states they did not receive the item from FEDEX (untrue), now Capitol One is billing me. This company is the worse, don't use them, they are thieves!

My new bedroom set this was delivered this morning and I absolutely love the furniture but am extremely disappointed with the delivery. After I signed and the guys left, I’m moving things back into my freshly painted room to find several dings in my walls and one in the hallway. Two of them need sparkling and paint to be repaired properly and I no longer have my hallway paint. I understand that things happen but the fact that they didn’t even tell me is unsettling. And my bedroom walls are black so it’s very noticeable. After paying $189 for delivery, I expect much better transparency. Several nails and screws were left laying on the floor also which seems simply careless in my opinion. I’m just very displeased with the outcome especially assuming these guys have tons of experience in this profession.
Desired outcome: I would like my delivery fee refunded since I now have to pay my painter to come back and repair the damage and buy more paint for the hallway.
Poor Product and Poor Customer Satsfaction
I waited more than 6 months for the Moto 2-Piece Power Extension Sofa to become available. I had a delivery service pick up and deliver the sofa to me in February 2022. I live 3 hours outside the delivery area. In March, the sofa malfunctioned. A repair service was sent out and was unable to repair the sofa. I was made aware of this when I contacted the store some weeks later. I was advised that, per the manager, a new sofa would be delivered to me either Monday or Tuesday the following week. I stressed that I live outside the delivery address but was advised that this was not an issue. I waited until Friday (July 15th) and contacted the store. I was given Corporate's telephone number to call. I spoke with Corporate and was advised that, per the warranty, I would have to bring the defective sofa back and pick up the new one. To return the old and pick up a new sofa will mean that I will have paid almost double the sofa’s value within months of buying it. I fail to understand why I should be out of pocket any money for something that was defective coming out of the box. At first, I believed that your store having the exclusivity was a good thing. But now, given my experience, I have rather gather the opinion that the other furniture stores did not offer the item because of the build of the product. You should test your product prior to delivery or pick-up, as well as re-evaluate your customer satisfaction policy.
Desired outcome: ASF should stand behind their product and do what is necessary to satisfy its customer. I want my money's worth - a new fuctioning sofa.
6+ king bedroom set
Worst experience ever. I will never buy or recommend you to anybody. Purchased a bedroom set back in september 2021 paid in full and until now I can not enjoy my furniture because you delayed it couple times and delivered damaged items 3 times (even though I paid for what you call 5 star delivery)

Delayed deliveries
I bought my 5 different pieces of furniture resulting in over $5,000 on 03/13 I told that all my furniture would come on the 22nd, they called and said it would be delayed until the next Thursday. I didn’t receive my furniture until 31st. Had an issue with foosball table, I called customer service they asked me to send pictures. However I didn’t hear back from them in 2days so I went to the store on my only day off! They resolves the issue on the 6th of April. As for the rest of my furniture I’m not exactly sure how many times I was called to told my ordered was being delayed again. Today is 04/08 I was told I would received the remaining items, but I was only given my tv console, not my kitchen table nor chairs. When I called the customer serviced lady said the person who reached out should’ve told me it would be two deliveries and then said “yeah, sorry.” All in all I’m really unsatisfied and highly disappointed with this company and do not wish to make further purchases.
Desired outcome: I would appreciate a response and some sort of discount!
Extended warranty
We purchased furniture right at 5 years ago. The salesman told us if we purchased the extended warranty and did not use it we would get our money back 100%. He flat out lied to us. They did give us store credit but not our money back. It was a typical salesman move. It did open our eyes though, we are purchasing another set of furniture and we will not use American Signature. Just be honest with your customers. Future customers find someone else to get your furniture from. Their salesman will lie to you and they do not honor what they sell you. The manager did come out and talk to us but she did not do anything about it. She had a prepared speech, which means this must happen often. I assume because they teach their salespeople to lie to sell the extended warranty.
Desired outcome: Send me a check for the amount we paid. Not store credit.
Am complaining about my accent table
I bought an accent table on 5/22/2021 @your store located 2101 Cottman Avenue. I financed through Snap finance and it is already paid off.
Now when the driver did the delivery one of the doors was broken. Then he called the store and told to my wife he will bring a new door by the following week. I have been so patient and so respectful since I called the store because it was taking for ever to get my table fixed. Today February 3rd l called the store to find out when they are going to bring the removed door that supposed to be fixed. And they told they can do nothing now. He even asked to fix it by myself and he will give me...50.00$. I don't care about the money. I spent more than 1000.00 for table. I just needed my table to be fixed. Am a loyal customer and I spent my money so many times for your business. I really need someone to fix my problem. It's been close to 1 year since this situation started
Communication lacking on delivery status
I placed my order for my dinning table in July, and I knew there was a delay in shipping. I was told multiple times delivery would be in November. I got a call on 11/4 that my delivery was confirmed for 11/13. I call today to reconfirm the time, and I was told that my delivery is scheduled for January 4 2022! At no point did I get any communication from American Signature pricing me an updated delivery status. My table has been paid for, as well as I am in dire need of a table for my home for the holidays. So American signature has made money off of me yet I do not have the product I have paid for. I want a 20% refund for my product that will now be beyond late! How do you confirm a delivery and take money from your customers and then have such a long delay for the product. Customers should only have to pay for half of your product, and the rest when the product is ACTUALLY delivered. I have been a customer since 2016 and this makes the 3rd time that I have gone to the store in Smyrna Ga
to find the doors locked and refusing entry to customers 30 minutes before the closing time. This is the only location that does this. & when you knocked on the for for entry at 8:30pm they'll come to the door with an attitude and ask why do you wait until 30 minutes before closing time to shop for furniture? Its THAT interaction my only reason to file this complaint because I was well within business hours to come inside so why come to the door and be rude about it!
Dangerous store carrier driver
While driving to work this morning at 7:18 am to Venture Dr, Duluth, GA, I was cut off not once but twice by one of your store delivery drivers in an 18 wheeler, Oklahoma license plate AC 8687, trailer # 7326222. I first witnessed the driver suddenly swerve out of one of the two I85 exit lanes he was in due to a stalled truck in his lane. He then made the left turn swerving from the far right lane into my inner left lane cutting me off. I blew my horn to get his attention but he proceeded without slowing or stopping. I was then forced into the I85on ramp lane to avoid being hit. As I continue I am now in the left turn lane to Venture Drive when he again pulls directly into my lane, no signals either of the 3 times he exits his lane, and I have to stop to avoid being hit or forced into the concrete divider to my left. I lay on my horn to get his attention and again he neither slows or stops but proceeeds to his desired lane - mine! He is a very negligent, dangerous driver that if not stopped, will end up getting American Furniture Signature sued. I would appreciate your response so I know this was addressed.

Mayfair Bedroom Set Purchase
We bought a bedroom suit from American Signature Furniture in Clarksville, Tennessee in November of 2020: bed frame, mattress, bed, 2 nightstands, dresser with mirror and chest of drawers. We were told that it would all be delivered in February, but After several delays, SOME of the furniture was delivered today, March 26, 2021, the mirror that sits on the dresser was broken upon arrival and taken back to the store, the night stand that was delivered REEKS of cigarette smoke, so strong the whole room smells like cigarette smoke. The bed and one of the night stands has not been delivered yet, and we are being told that it will be in about another month, but we have been told that a couple of times already.
Desired outcome: I would like to have this smoke filled night stand replaced and I would like to have ALL of the furniture we purchased delivered.

I have been dealing with ongoing issues every time I have something ordered. It's either broken, missing something, or put together incorrectly these items are supposed to be new I can't understand all the defects I was better off going to Rooms Togo. I call to talk with a member of management and the customer service people who answer the phone are so rude...
