American Signature Furniture finance dept

Back in late Feb or early March of this year I purchased some furniture from American Signature. When I made the purchase, I gave them all of my correct info, including my address and soc sec #. I opted for the 0% for 1 year, then decided to be more realistic and change it to the 9.99% apy for 5 years. They couldn't even pull up my account because they had it under the wrong social! I changed it before the furniture was even delivered, which was very quickly. My furniture arrived right on time, no complaints. And it was beautiful. When I made the purchase, they could not quote me an exact amount of what my payments would be, but assured me I'd recieve a bill soon.
A little over a month went by and I hadn't received a bill yet, so I called the store. The had sent it to the address on my driver's license (not the address the furniture was delivered to or the one that I'd put as the billing address on the application). Except the address on my driver's license is my parents' house & they never recieved a bill either. They said they would update the info and send a new bill out. A couple weeks later, still no bill. Overall I called 4 times and visited the store twice before I got anything from them, each time I was assured I'd receive a bill soon. And they couldn't access the acct because they never put it under the right social! So I couldn't make a pmt at all either.
On Father's Day I get a phone call saying my payment was due on the 6th, and if I didn't make a payment immediately I'd be charged a late payment fee. I informed him I'd done my part and never received a bill. When I got my bill I'd make a payment. Okay, we'll make a note in the acct.
The next day, I get 2 phone calls from a number I don't recognize while I'm working before within 5 minutes of each other. The third time, I'm finally able to answer and it's another person from the finance company threatneing me with a late fee if I don't pay today. 15 minutes later he also agrees to put a note in the account ( I wasn't very nice this time).
Almost immediately I call the store & get the phone # for the finance company to complain. Except I can't even get a person on the phone because the automated system requires an account # before it will do anthing! I haven't gotten a bill, so no account #!
So I call back to the store & tell the lady in charge of finance in the store what's going on, how I'm receiving harassing phone calls (I work in collections, I know 3 calls in 15 minutes is illegal!) and I only want to deal with her.
Now it's October, they only last month got the account under my social and I'm now receiving bills. But once they put the acct in my social, now my interest jumps to 24.99%, except my account was supposed to be in good standing the whole time! And it's "time consuming" to get the info as to why my interest rate more than doubled. I'm about ready to tell them to come pick up my living room set, give me my $$ back, and forget the whole thing!
I could have very easily not done anything, and it never would have hit my credit. But I tried to be honest & make everything correct. Now I'm the one getting screwed!

9/2/08 I spent 254.80 at signature furniture store. I bought 2 5' tall bookstands and a single bed frame. I took the bed frame home. The 2 bookstands were to arrive in a few days. American Signature Furniture sectional couch

My husband & I purchased a brown leather sectional on or about Oct. 12th 2007. After about 2 months, my husband sat down, and there was a cracking sound, and the couch dropped. Plus the other piece sank when you sat in it. I called ASF, and they sent someone to look at it, the guy confirmed that they did not give us enough legs, so now the couch is broken, (we are holding it up with a wooden block). I asked this guy, what happens now, instead of him calling ASF, and replacing our couch, he said they would have to repair it. Fine, so we wait 3 wks, but still nothing. I call ASF again, they had to send someone else out to "lool" at it, cause the other guy didn't put in a report. We are now at the end of January 2008. We called ASF and asked if the parts were in, this was around Feb. 5th, we said to the lady on the phone, that we were told it would take about 3 - 4 wks to order the parts. She said "oh no, it takes much longer than that", but they would call us. It is now July 12, 2008 and still no phone call. I am going to send an e-mail now to their corporate office. This is how I got them to send someone the 1st time.

I have had nothing but bad service with them also, two leather couches, 4 people coming to look at the dents in my door, etc. Lady "the manager" will not assist and has no clue and won't let me speack to the GM and won't leave my messages. TERRIBLE service!

American Signature Furniture couch/bunk beds

When I first walked into Rooms Today(recently changed to American Signature Furniture in MI) I was impressed at how nice the furniture looked, and how "well" it was priced. I found the perfect couch right away, and also purchased a bunk bed for my children. I asked numerous times how sturdy their furniture was and whether or not that had had many complaints. Of course, I was told that everyone has minor complaints about different things, nothing serious. Should've known then.

I was lucky to have my furniture arrive in only 2 weeks-I thought. First of all, I had to have someone else wait for my furniture that arrived late, which ended up making them late for work. I had to call to find out where my furniture was! I paid 80.00 for delivery, and set up for the beds

The two men who came to set up the bunk beds got into a yelling match in my house, and one left! When I came home from work to see my new furniture, I came home to a broken rail(in the front!) on the top bunk of one bed, a rail that was put on upside down, a broken cushion on my NEW couch, a rip on the end of the arm where the wood was coming out, and the whole bottom front wooden slat was scraped all the way across! Glad I spent 1, 700.00 for this!

I called and complained the next day, but nobody could come out right away, it would be a week! They replaced the couch, and replaced the rail. They also put the upside down rail on right, except that now there are screw holes in the middle because the holes don't match up right side up! They didn't even bother telling me or replacing, I found out myself. After asking for my delivery fee back, was given it back-BUT, it is now just over a month later and the SAME CUISHON IS BROKE AGAIN! I called 2 weeks ago, explained the whole previous story, but they still couldn't get out for 2 more weeks! They are actually due here tomorrow, and again I have to take off work...They provide horrible customer service and extremely poor quality products. When I spoke to someone on the phone I mentioned that I felt their furniture was poorly made and wanted a refund, so as not to have someone coming out every month to "inspect" my furniture. My only other option-store credit depending on what the "repair man" finds. I just found out too that A.S. was affiliated, or use to actually, be Value City Furniture-the one place I would've never bought from because of their reputation. Anyone reading this, please take the advice of all of the others, it's all true, and we all had the same things happen.
