king size mattress
I bought, in Feb. 2008, a brand new king size bed and mattress. My husband and I were very excited. A few months later the side rail on the bed broke and needed to be replaced. I called and talked to service. At the time, I was told that it was a manufacture's defect and it was replaced. We're now in June of 2009 and I have a big dip in the mattress where you actually can feel the springs. The dip is the shape of my husband because it is his side of the bed. I called American Signature, explained the situation and a service man came out to look and take pictures. That was June 15th. I was never given a call back about the mattress. I stopped by today, July 25th, and was told that because there is a stain on the mattress, it is not under warranty. I was completely embarassed and very angry. What does a stain have to do with a huge defect in the mattress. I refuse to buy another mattress. We spent about $800 on the mattress and box spring alone.
Now, my husband will have uncomfortable nights of sleep, and not to mention back pain. We don't want to send it back because of stains. We want to replace it because of the broken springs. What does the stain have to do with the 25 year guarantee of the springs?

purchased something and got different
Ever heard of "Bait and Switch"? My wife and I purchased a queen set-Miracle Foam Ultra 2 mattress and boxspring $1, 099.99 the bed arrived movers set up for us and we tipped them when they left, of course what is the first thing a person does? They lay on the bed, "ought oh wrong bed" my wife says. We got on the phone, Manager told me the bed we purchase is on its way to North Port, and we have the least expensive bed $498.00 we should be getting the bed we bought later on, he was really sorry for the mix up.. long story short, he later told us we have the bed we purchased, and hung up on us. Folks I looked at the tag on the bed when the drivers left look before they leave to make sure you get what you bought, I'm going to the store today to hopefully get this resolved. 6/21/2009
RIGHT ON, you are right Don, happens all the time Good luck.

poor service/lies
On May 25th 2009 my boyfriend and I picked out four items in the store to purchase. Our sales person Tom was very helpful and friendly, however he could not enter in the items and needed assitance from his manager Bobby. Which we were to pick up on the following day. My one concern was the leaning shelf unit needs to come in a box as it was to big to fit in...

I have never in my life experienced such poor service. I ordered a living room and dining set on March 14th for delivery on April 7th. When April 7th rolled around, I received everything except the recliner and sideboard. Delivery for these 2 items was then scheduled for 2 weeks later on April 21st. Since I received most of my furniture, I didn't think too much about this and went back and ordered a bedroom set on April 9th for delivery on April 21st along with the other 2 remaining items. BIG MISTAKE! On April 21st, the only items that were to be delivered were a pair of nightstands, a box spring, and the bed. No sign of the other 2 dressers, recliner, or sideboard. In addition, the head and footboard of the bed that were delivered didn't match so the delivery guys took them back. The third delivery was scheduled for 9 days later on April 30th. I just learned today, the 29th, that everything will finally be delivered tomorrow except for the dresser which will be in on June 2nd. June 2nd! Are you kidding me?!? I have to wait another month for a dresser! At this point, I ordered the recliner and sideboard 6 and a half weeks ago. The bedroom furniture was ordered 3 weeks ago. How long does it really take to get furniture?!? This is insane! Did I mention I've been sleeping on the floor for the last 3 weeks.
The only good thing about this nightmare has been the delivery guys. They've been awesome. I had the same guys for the first 2 deliveries. They were the ones who noticed the mismatched bed.
DO NOT ORDER FURNITURE FROM AMERICAN SIGNATURE FURNITURE! Yes, it's cheap but you may never ever receive it.

STOP.. do not buy from this company unless you have LOTS and LOTS of DELIVER TIME...
My 4 piece sofa set - deliver date has changed 5 times 6 weeks later... today... I still do NOT have what I paid cash for. and Guess what.. if you wish to CANCELL the order that you paid CASH FOR... you will need to WAIT until the HOME OFFICE ISSUES and Mails a CHECK REFUND.
This delivery SUCKS. Just like clock work every week someone CALLS and says the deliver date has changes and it is a SOFT deliver date.. which means it still is NOT guaranteed.
What a big pain in the butt.
'American Signature Furniture sucks!'
The above review sounds like a similar experience my sister-in-law had earlier this year also.
My husband and I should have read the reviews about AS and spoken to some of our family and friends before purchasing from this place. We ordered a bedframe, a mattress set, a hall table and a large mirror. We were told that our old bed would be taken away at the time of delivery of the new bed. When the delivery men arrived they said they could not touch our old bed frame as this was against their store policy and additionally the bedding could be removed only if it were completely encased in a plastic bag which we should have gotten at the time of our purchase. Needless to say this was all news to my husband and I. Since we were completely unprepared for the delivery we could not accept the bed at this time. We rescheduled a new delivery date for the bed.
Once the bedframe and the mattress arrived and were assembled the bed was about 4 feet high because of an unneccessay box spring the salesman sold us with the bedframe! They took the boxspring back with some hesitation and we were refunded our money, but at the time of our refund came to learn that the other items we purchased were out of stock and would not be delivered until 4-5 weeks later. When the date for delivery eventually came we noticed that we were not contacted re the time frame for the delivery. AS was contacted and at this time they mentioned that the hall table was no longer going to be carried by the company but we could get the last one on display in the store at a discounted price. We agreed and a delivery date was set for the following week for both the mirror and the hall table. The CSA called to give us the time frame in which our items were expected to be delivered, we confirmed what was to be delivered and the CSA agreed. On the day of the deliver we called AS to find out the status of our delivery which was now late only to find out that the mirror would not be delivered as spromised and was presently out of stock until the end of November. We purchased these items the first weekend in SEPTEMBER!
The furniture looks good at reasonable prices but what's the point if you can't get them in a timely manner if at all. We purchased from the store on Roosevelt Blvd...I hope that the owners of this family owned business really take a closer look at what is going on in some of their stores. From the looks of some of the reviews from stores in other states we did not have an experience unique to us and rather this experience is more the norm. What a shame.
horrible service and product
STAY AWAY FROM American Signature Furniture! Paying high price does not mean high quality at American Signature Furniture. Once we had our leather couch for two years, now out of their 1 year warranty, the couch is showing defective leather. Our leather repairman, pointed out that there is cheap leather pieces that are put together and said if he repaired the current tears, he would have to return over and over. That was 6 months ago and sure enough 3 more tears appeared in random spots. A leather couch that is taken good care of should last longer than 2 years. When I called the store they kept telling me that since I did not purchase the extended warranty, they cannot do anything, not even a discount on a new couch. They even mention that since I used an outside leather repair person that it voided the warranty. They do not know what they are talking about! All they do is read off a sheet and cannot, will not help you. I believe in investing in quality products that people truly stand behind. So STAY AWAY FROM American Signature Furniture!

THEY WERE SUPPOSE TO DEILIVER MY BED ON A THURSDAY THEY CAME THE BED WAS BROKEN THEN THE DRIVER WANTED TO SET UP MY BED LIKE THAT. I REFUSE THEN THE NEXT APP TO BRING BACK THE BED WAS A WEEK LATER STILL GIVING ME A HARD TIME THEY WOULD SAY ONE TIME THEN THEY DID NOT HONOR THE TIME FAME, , I WOULD NEVER EVER BUY ANYHTING ELSE FROM THERE I STICK TO ROOM 2 GO
Called their free [protected] number to inquire about their contradictory bill (Payment due date early June yet minimum payment is zero). After waiting 15-20 minutes on a rep, they could not give me the answer. Unbelievable!
Also, if they mention 60+ years of history, ask them how many times have they been in bankruptcy. Value City rings any bells? I already purchased furniture from them - lasted in one piece less than 1 year.
I bought a living room set at American Signature Furniture in March of 2017. Iwanted to get good furniture and spent over two thousand dollars on it. Itis now falling apart, the coushins and pillows are falling apart. I had to have the cocktail table replaced, and they replaced it with a refurbished piece of crap. I am so disappointed and will never buy furniture from there again.
I had bought cheap furniture from Diamond Furniture years ago that lasted longer than this. This furniture is two years old and falling apart, what a disgrace!
Thank you,

first of all i order a sectional named ''Whitney'' and was all excited. To my surprise the store put thr wrong sticker price on it an i eagerly put 100.00 dollars down to secure it in the event the store caught their mistake-they did, but i was getting what i thought was a deal, I told the sales rep. that i would be back in 8-10 days with the FULL amount. She checked delivery dates furniture was in stock and i would have my furniture before my big birthday party. NOT!. When i went to the store i was told that ''MY'' particular furniture wouldn't be in until the end of July 2017. way after the party...CRUSHED..they said that they have to sell to 3 states the same items and that it went out of stock..But it was just there. Instead of taking my business elsewhere i opted for something else, when the furniture did arrive, it was damaged the leather was all scrapped up and the TV stand leg was cracked beyond repair, in 2-3 days they swapped out half of the sectional instead of the whole thing and the new swapped part had different colored legs...YIKES! AUGHHHHH! I paid close to 1700 dollars for this stuff including delivery and insurance and i keep getting the wrong inaccurate unsuitable furniture, C'mon American Signature. i have had enough of the people at this company. the manger at the Morrow store was so indifferent when i told him about being inconvienant, I wish i would have went elsewhere now. im still waiting for someone to address my concerns
I purchased a cheap recliner chair in June as a Father Day gift for my husband. In less than 6 months the padding in the arms is missing or gone and this chair is very uncomfortable to sit in because there is nothing but wood the frame on the arms now .
We purchased our sofa set about a year ago and have had problems from day one. We paid to have to stain guard on it since we have a small child. What they show you instore doesnt reflect what you get. So I complained and said I wanted our money back but after talking to 5 different people they said they would send someone to come look at it. When he came out he just cleaned it, he was here for maybe 10 mins. So now a today a little over a year later, I have $1, 400.00 dollars worth of crap. Both the recliners are broken and the ottoman the stitching is coming out and when I called to get my recliners fixed they said that it only had a year warranty not a life time which we were told. Apparently it is not a signature collection piece but when you go in they say all there pieces are signature collection pieces.
AMERICAN SIGNATURE IS THE MOST HORRIBLE STORE - STAY AWAY FROM THEM! I bought the most expensive bedroom suite they had and I was promised they would deliver on Thursday Oct. 30th 2017. They showed up with only part of the complete bedroom suite. I had a party Scheduled for the first of November ( 2 days later )with company coming in town. I needed all my bedrooms for company to stay in. Well, this did not go well. The service guys where not helpful at all and they where screaming at each othe in my front yard on the radio with the store trying to put the blame on each other instead of trying to solve the problem. Next they did not have the right brackets to hold the mirror on and yeah, he drilled through the wood on the mirror not once, but twice while I was holding the mirror for him. To make a long story short it took me going to the store and getting the manager and the service manager on the floor to get it done. I had to put my foot down and tell them I wanted it finished today which was 5 trips to my house and 3 weeks later. I was promised compensation and it has been over a month now and yes as I expected I was totally forgotten and never received anything for going through everything I did and paying over 3400.00 for a bedroom suite. NEVER AGAIN! THEY ARE THE WORST!
This furniture company is a rip off. I purchased a living room set from them in 2017 with an extended warranty. Just before the warranty expired the chair collapsed and the fabric began peeling. I called the store to hopefully use the extended warranty insurance to either repair or replace the furniture an was told to come in to pick out another set. I went to pick out the new set and ended up paying full price and a new charge added to the furniture the I was still paying for. American Signature said that the extended warranty could only be pro-rated (17.00). So I paid for insurance that American Signature would not honor when I needed it. Guess what, the new set, I have had for six months, that too is broken. I have been sitting on the floor since Christmas. Maybe I should stop paying and challenge the finance company in court.
Recently, less than two months ago in September 2017, I purchased a "princess" bed room suite for my granddaughter. I was told that the furniture was American made. I don't believe it. Less than two months later my 35 pound 4-year old granddaughter ended up on the floor after the slats and support assembly of the bed fell out! The "wood" turned out to be cheap particle board secured about every 12- 18 inches with screws. Literally, the supports were "ripped" out as the screws which must not have been secured in the loose, deteriorating particle board, just couldn't support them. The so-called warranty only involved their replacing the same (existing support assembly) with more of the same screws as well as some extra screws. We were told they will just keep coming back if the support fails again.
The bed is so poorly made that I would not recommend that anyone buy this suite. If this is typical of American Signature then they are maligning and dissing our country openly. Shoddy, poor construction, cheap materials and pointless warranties that allow them to sell you this junk and, at best, to just keep cobbling it together in the hope you'll go away.
My LAST purchase there ever and I wanted to post something online describing their pathetically non-existent "commitment" to service and value. DON't BUY from them. Our purchase was made from their Philadelphia "Cheltenham Avenue" store but I believe their poor service and quality is rife throughout their entire organization. Shut them down - don't buy!
The merchandise was returned to the store by the customer for repairs. The merchandise was repaired and ready to be picked up on 1/8/10. I apologize for any inconvenience, but am glad that we were able to make the necessary repairs.

poor quality and workmanship
I purchased what I thought was a quality leather sectional for $2700 in the Lithonia, Georgia store and after a little over 2 years (one month to be exact) ripples developed on the ottoman seat and in the center of the sofa's seat. Assuming this store stuck behind the quality of their furniture and the reputation of their name I called to report the defect and was later visited by a technician to inspect. The technician forwarded the information to an Operations Manager who called to report the news that the technician reported a deficiency in the furniture and that this model was discontinued. At this time I wasn't offered comparable merchandise just a credit of $540, and a write off from the store treating my furniture as an as is product. It wasn't until I challenged the fine print on the receipt that this was ever an option. I looked online and even visited the store and found nothing to my satisfaction and was reluctant to purchase further because of all this. As insulted as I am and disappointed in the merchandise that I have I am out of more than $2700, ($2200 if I take the $54offered) a $300 professional paint job (for this room and the adjoining ) to match the furniture's decor and within the year will have to replace this same furniture because of its poor workmanship. To add insult to injury I purchased over $4000 from this store at one visit and have a few other complaints that were supposedly not covered under AS warranty for any of it. In conclusion I don't recommend purchase from this store to anyone I know. The hassle and the attitude you get after you pay and receive your furniture is out of this world. The store representation acts if their jobs are irreplaceable or that they have ownership in protecting the store. Do they not understand that the economy is so jacked up and that people are losing their jobs not to mention their homes and are not spending money on non essentials like furniture and that they are in jeopardy of stores (especially) with bad reputations for their products folding or Am I the only person that watches the news?.

scamming you to buy, delivery dates a lie
We moved into our apartment February 13, 2009. We had our beautiful new sofa set (sofa & chair 1/2) and our new dining room table picked out by the first week of March. After much shopping we found it at American Signature, and since a family member was purchasing it for us as a housewarming gift (he's over 80 years old) they required he be present. Which was fine. So we visited alone and had the salesman Marcello create an invoice for our sofa set & dining table, which he said in total would be $1700 (including a mandatory stain treatment) and that the delivery is "almost always done within a week, especially if it's in stock at the store, it should be a few days". So we then loaded my husbands grandfather into our Jeep, visited the store again to make the final purchase. It took them 20 minutes to find our records in the computer, at which point he asked us to walk back to each item just to 'make sure he knew which ones we were talking about' (walk--with an elderly man on a cane -- through a huge store), and then preceded to tell us he was going to have to check and see if they were in the storeroom...So we sat his grandfather down and followed the man back to the customer service center in the back, where we waited nearly 45 minutes for him to find an open phone line (which were all being used by other customer service reps who were "dealing with other customers", although in my experience it is ALWAYS best to help the customers in person rather than over the phone)---and although we told him we didnt understand what he was checking, he evaded us for another 20 minutes. Finally he told us that the sofa could be ready mid march but the dining set would not be until April 4th, and would we like to choose another one? SO we looked around and picked another one...waited for him to check AGAIN, only to find out that it was the glass top that was on back order, and ALL of the glass tables in their store had the same piece of glass on back order...So we were very very very set on just getting the sofa set, and finding a table elsewhere, when Marcello told us that he made another call and if we called the week before our delivery of the sofa they would most likely be able to arrange the table to come the same day as to save their delivery drivers a trip. So we agreed, and not wanting to get his grandfather out again for another trip to another store for another table---we purchased all of the items with the sofa being delivered March 20 (not really mid march eh?) and the table to be delivered April 8th (written on the receipt).
So, today is March 20th. The delivery was supposed to arrive between 9:30-12:30 this morning. They showed up at 8:15am pounding on our door (we were still asleep as was our toddler), and when we answered it was a very rude, very disgruntled delivery driver practically yelling at my husband that the sofa would not fit in our elevators. Granted, this is something we should have thought out -- and we were very dissappointed, but we wanted to call down to the lobby of our condo to see if there was a freight elevator elsewhere or any other options. The delivery driver was incredibly impatient and rude and tapping his foot and pacing until my husband finally went downstairs to the lobby to ask with the man. Long story short, the sofa did not fit. Which is fine, we will find a smaller sofa and take the measurements carefully. But the problem lies herein. The delivery driver suggested we find another sofa and have it delivered on April 29th along with our table ----- APRIL 29th? We have waited a month with no furniture in our apartment and now he's saying its another month? We called the store several times, were placed on hold every time, finally resulting in the answer that they have no idea why our receipt would say April 8th delivery and that theres nothing they can do about it. We can have the table delivered the 29th and come into the store again to find another sofa but they need his grandfather present to reauthorize the exchange of credit. The end result is we told them to please refund the entire charge and forget us ever coming to their store again. But its incredibly disappointing, seeing as we have now lived a month and a half without furniture, waiting eagerly for our set we had already picked out and purchased -- and now we are back at square one -- shopping again and going through the entire ordeal (which is also embarrassing as it is a gift from his grandfather, to have to ask him to buy something again after the refund clears on his credit card in 10 days).
Overall it was horrible customer service, and the guy obviously worked on commission as he seemed to say ANYthing to make the sale, even barefaced lie about our delivery date and the availibility of the furniture.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
This sounds like very poor planning on your part. It appears the sales person and the delivery man did their job. You can't expect people to move around your failure to plan.
has anyone taken legal action against them? i was just sucked into this mess by buying a desk from the doorstore who then was bought out by american signature. this is crazy! i have waiting 4 months for a desk they promised in 4 weeks and they charged me 4 months ago.
poor quality/poor service
Do not buy anything from American Signature Furniture stores. They do not care about their customers. Do not believe anything they tell you because it is all lies. They make you pay for service policies that they will not honor. We purchased black leather theater seating in N ovember 2007. We also brought a leather protection policy at the time of purchase. We were told that the protection policy would take care of all rips, tears etc as long as it was not intentional. When it was first delivered one of the chairs had a grinding sound. We were told that was normal because it was new and it would work itself out. Well it never did and they did replace that piece. Now the chair is rubbing the leather off in the back. We went to the store in Brandon, Florida where it purchased. They said they would send out a technician. I got a voice mail that the tech reported it was normal wear and tear (which it was not because it is on the back of the chair where no one or anything touches it.) Now they are telling us that they have discontinued the furniture. We called back and no one ever called us back for about a month. So we had to return to the store to voice our concern. We were told that they would call us back on Tuesday which they did not. I called back on Wednesday and was put on hold for over twenty minutes. I called again and customer service never picked up the telephone. We are still waiting.
I purchased furniture July 19, 2010 from American Signature Furniture in Morrow, Georgia. The dinning room table required servicing upon delivery.
since then I have made numerous requests for service. The stain, pigment, coloring, whatever you want to call is so weak that your fingernail will remove it. I live alone, no children, very few visitors...only me and I am careful not to touch it for fear i will do further damage. The worst part of this is that I am still paying for this junk because of a catastrophic Illness i couldn't meet the terms to avoid the extreme compounded interest as I had hoped...I hate it, but I'm still making payments. I'm sure this junk will be thrown out long before its paid for. I had an occasion to visit the store and to my surprise the original sells person is now the store manager. I spoke to him about my problem and he assure me that he would take steps to correct it. That was several months and no one done a thing. Oh I might add...Its still under their warranty which isn't worth the paper its written on. I agree with other comments made in this forum...I was deceived, lied to and now I'm just plain aggravated! I would admonish everyone to be careful and look at whatever you plan to buy from AMERICAN SIGNATURE FURNITURE with a magnifying glass. As I said, I'm stuck with junk.
Sincerely,
J. Bell Central Georgia

horrible quality
My boyfriend and I purchased a couch at the American Signature Furniture on Rt 40 in Bear DE about a month or so ago. We had great service at the store from our sales rep Scott. However the problems started when we got the couch home. After getting the couch into our newley finshed basement we got the couches out of the box put them together (it is a sectional) and realized they had given us two different color couches. I couldn't believe it but we figured hey it was an honest mistake. So we took the couch back to the store and they exchanged it for us. So since we figured it was an honest mistake we decided to purchase a TV stand there as well. We actually got $50 off for the problem with the couches. Well we finally picked out the one we wanted and they said they wouldn't have it for a MONTH... okay I can deal with that. It was supposed to come in on March 4th... no one called us... so we called them on the 5th. They gave us no explanation to as why we were not contacted. Anyway we went and picked up the new TV Stand and got it out of the box... I immediatly saw scratches and dings all over. It looked like it had been through 5 years of use. So then we realized that the doors do not shut... I can't even belive this is happening. I am planning on going in today to tell them how horrible they are. Two times when we get home and have to make a return of the furniture we have purchased from your store. Unaccapteable.

I bought a bookcase and included the delivery because they said they will assemble the furniture. All I got was a closed box because the delivery man said he was not suppose to do it. Ok, I took the challenge and tried to assemble the bookcase but surprise the hardaware quality is so bad that all pieces were broken. I called them 3 times and they always said the supervisor will call me back, but did not. I finally went to the store and they suggested to go to home depot and buy the hardware ( they will reimburse the sum).Frustrating... even more for a 120 pounds girl trying to assemble a 100 pounds bookshelf by herself.
I agree about the poor quality of furniture and service. My husband and I purchased a 5000.00 bedroom set with a 1000.00 mattress set that we were told was a very, very good set. Well, we haven't had a good night sleep since! We toss and turn all night long. When we wake up we're sore all over and aching, which makes for a bad day! We did complain several times, put it didn't do any good. They paided this young man to come out and throw a tape measure string across our bed and we were told that the indentations were not deep enough to do anything about our problem. My husband and I are in our early fifties and I have to truly say that this is the worst purchase we have ever made! Every day when we wake up is a reminder of that.We do plan on purchasing another one but, it WILL NOT be from American Signature Furniture! We will go to the mattress pros! I'm not satisfied with the quality of my wood bedroom suite. We have moved it once and i noticed it had chipped in a couple of places. It seems so brittle. I and other family members have more complaints also, but i don't have time to go into it.I thought i could vent and let somebody know about our matress problem. By the way, we paid cash for that whole purchase and i wish we hadn't . I would have told them to come and get it!
discounted furniture
In July 2008, I walked into American Signture Furniture in Atlanta, Ga (Lenox), the salesman helped me pick out what I wanted. Although, there wasn't much I found that peaked my attention this living room suite caught my eye. I was very fond of American Signture's furniture.
While visiting in Louisville, KY I was able to purchase the furniture (there is a reason I had to purchase in KY), the furniture was delivered from Buford, Ga. 7-28-08. The first month I notice a pen sticking out of the the love seat which scratch when you sat down. Within 2-4 months the sofa pillows on the sofa and chair started to deteriorate, there was a board pushing in and out on the sofa and a popping sound when you sat down by the armrest side. On the chair at the top of the armrest the cushion made an indention. This clearing was turning into bad furniture I purchased. When asked in the KY store if this was "ALL" Am Sign. furniture he replied yes!
I purchased a warranty and fab protection and finally notified the co. They (Am. Sig.) informed me my furniture is not discontinued although my mother in KY said the furniture is still at Value City currently. They were willing to give me credit to purchase another set or anything in the store. This is when the salesman and the ladies in the back customer service told me about the tags. I should have been told the furniture was not from Am. Sig but another manufacturing company by the tag. (OH) The black & white tag reads Am. Signature and only the red & white is the discounted furniture but it does not say who from only "This price is guaranteed".
As upset as I was when walking around the store informing them I was not purchasing from the red & white tags, I noticed the difference. Am. Sig. furniture was more expensive. Even the salesman told me I knew their secret. (Tags) He even agreed that they don't tell their customers with the red & white tag it's from another manufacturer other than AM. Sign. Had I known the difference I would have had the option at the time to purchase the AM. Sign. furniture or the discounted but I was not looking for discounted furniture only American Signature. I could have went somewhere else.
The problem is I really didn't see what I wanted but was going to purchase less furniture (I had a 3 pc living room suite) and still be over my limit or the 3 pc and still be over by ($750) which they should have chucked up. They wanted me to pay the overhead even now when I talked to corporate. Lucky for them I still need to purchase my matching dinette tables like my coffee tables. Which I saw was a red & white tag! I only had one minor problem with those.
Mind you, this is the only way I will get my refund back is if I come in and purchase the dinette they will give me the remainder. He would not agree with refunding my money because I had the furniture for 6mths. I could change my mind about the purchasing the dinette set. This really infuriates me, that they sold defective furniture and won't allow me to have my money back. Who cares if they can't re sale it. This is not normal wear and tear in 2-6 months. The repair guy said my furniture was made out of cardboard, and basically he said all the furniture was. That's what the board and popping sound really could have been. poor customer relations and very poor quality furniture
I purchased a living room set and a kitchen set. The living room set came in and I found a men's nose hair trimmer in the couch. After further inspection I found all kinds of dirt (food, hair, etc) in the cracks of the furniture. This was suppsose to be NEW furniture. It turns out they claim it was the floor model. The kitchen set chairs have been returned twice due to nicks and scrapes and overall poor condition. They also wobble when you sit on them. I will never buy furniture from this company again, and I highly recommend you go elsewhere for your purchase. Leaqrn from my experience.

I purchased a dinning room set on March 2, 2017. It came in damaged. Every piece of furniture was damaged. The chairs, table, the glass on the hutch was scatched, the glass shelves to the hutch were all broken and there were missing clips to hold the shelves in place. After 4 phones they sceduled a service guy to come out two weeks. He fixed the chairs but said everything else had to go back to the shop. After many calls back and forth and many appointments(in 2 wk period);they were out here three times to exchange the damaged furniture and everytime the furniture was damaged again!and again! No missing shelves or clips were brought. I decieded that I wanted this furniture replaced because of all the damaged. I finally had enough and told them that I wanted the furniture pick-up. This is unacceptable to any customer. After all it supposed be new furniture and I paid top dollar for it.(cash) I took off 4 days from work to be home and I'm the one who was always calling them. Well between March and April, the problem is still not solved. I want my money back as soon as possible. Today is May 2nd and they are schedule to come and pick it up everything between 9:00-12:00. It is 11:45 and they still are not here. I guess I have to call again. Their customer service department is terrible! They schedule you and don't show up or show up with damaged furniture, missing pieces. I would never recommend this company to anyone.
The complaint I have is not about the furniture at all. My complaint is about the delivery services of this company. I asked the salesman if there were any boundaries mileage wise about delivery---obviously the response was no. Then he told me that my order would be filled out of a different store because they don't deliver that far away(45 miles). After being called less than 24 hours away from my delivery and saying that it would be between 1-4PM. When I called to ask if there was anyway it could be moved up due to wrong info given to me at the purchasing store, the manager talked to the driver and after quite a while of talking back and forth, he called and said that since they would be passing near where I live, they could deliver earlier than scheduled. Well, today the delivery driver forgot! If you can't pick up your order, do not get delivery service from this company!
To whom this may concern, I am writing because I made purchase from your store at number 135, Roosevelt Boulevard in October. I purchased an Entertain System called Wall-Merlot. It was $1500, It was supposed to be delivered a day before thanksgiving, only one piece came. I had gone back to the store and complained. The people at the desk were very rude. Then I spoke to manager Mr. Murphy and O.J, and told them what the problem was. So they gave me Store credit for $100 on gift card for their inconvience. It was then suppose to come next week, no one ever came nor called me back, So I went back to the store again 2nd time. Same people I had spoken to, they said It had to come from Baltimore and they gave me another $120 gift card. They said it was coming next week, So then when it came, it was old and damage, they brought floor piece. It was not what I "Had ordered"!.. I ordered NEW furniture. I went back again for 3rd time and complained. I Spoke to the same people. They apologized and gave more gift cards for the inconvience again and promised it would come the next week. Not to mention service was HORRIBLE!- Three weeks later I still did not recieve anything and finally I called and said they no longer had it in stock. So all the gifts cards the store Manager had given me where basically charged to my credit card. Which Is "illegal", I did not give any authorization to do so and It was suppose to be "Store credit" from them for all the hastle they put me through. They should had been straight forward and just said it was not in stock. The service was horrible and rude and very unprofessional. They should had never asked for the gift cards back neither. I would much appreciate it If I could get a response to this letter. I would like to see if any of your employers actually care about your customers. Not to mention I will never step foot nor purchase a single item again. I had never delt with this kind of poor service ever... You need to have real employers who know how to deal with customers. I do have ALL the receipts to prove the merchandise that I have purchased.
Thank You

We bought a large mirror ( Faceted Mirror) for our living room. It has small mirror tiles around all the edges. After making mounting holes in the wall we hung the mirror. Thats when we noticed a cracked tile. I called the store and they had a floor unit for replacement. I reboxed the defective mirror and returned it to the store for a second one. After getting it home we found a cracked tile in it also. The tiles seem to only be glued in the middle and not around the edges so if any tile is touched on the edges they will probably crack also.
I am so physically tired from fighting this heavy mirror that we will probably just live with it. If we were to get another it would have the same issues and the store said they would charge $79 if they were to bring another out and I was told that they would only deliver it and not help in anyway to hang it.
We are very dissapointed in the quality and lack of any assistance other than rolling the items to the pickup door.
I was at your store on Sunday Feb 13, 2017 I was very disapointed with the service I recieved. My nephew and I bought a recliner and we ask the sales person if we coud take it home he said measure the trunk and see if it fits I measured and I taught it fit when I came back to ask him for a hand truck he was not there I guess he made the sales that is all that mannered so I ask another salesman to get me a hand truck and he said that service did not work. All I wanted was a hand truck finally we had him paged he did not smile and at that I told my nephew lets give him the sale because he asked us first because I went to another store to compare prices so I was giving him the benefit of the doubt. When I went to put it in the car it did not fit I taught ok if it doesn't fit I taught I will put it on the roof of the car and take it home. He said something smart and he walked away . My thing is he did not offer a suggestion did not even give us a piece of plastic so the we could accomplish our task. I had to improvise because he was to delicate to help. Unforunately, I would not recommend this store because the service was lousy the attitude is not good and the disposition has a lot to be desired. Hopefully you will your people better customer service. I would appreciaate a reply,
Very poor quality leather furniture. We paid $995 for a
leather chair and a half. and found out it was only bonded
leather when it all started flaking off and was no longer
under warranty
I bought a living room outfit last august. i wanted to buy a second accent chair after we paid the initial purchase off. but know it has been discontinued. which make no sense to me. because it was the newest. it was american signature berkshire chair. pls let me know
Paid two thousand dollars for sectional and two of the four recliner stopped withing within a year arm is completely fall off side of recliner.Other side starting to fall off.Only have had for two years what a piece of junk we never buy there furniture again it came from Value City.
2/13/14 Today I will be donating my leather couch and chair that I've only had for 4 years from the American Signature on North Dale Mabry in Tampa Fl.. I have a 7 year warranty that they failed to back up. The couch started tearing after the first year and Uniters sent people out
3 times to spray paint the tearing. That would last about 6 moos and then paint would peel. Uniters said they would not cover peeling? Really the peeling form their own spray paint repair? After they refused to come out any longer I asked for the rest of the warranty money back and they said no. Never will I buy from American Signature and never again will I purchase a warranty on any furniture.
What a waste of money and time with these people. Communicated with the the store manager for 3 mos and she did nothing!
I agree...the furniture they are selling is horrible! They have to constantly send out "furniture technicians" to repair supposedly brand new furniture! This is such a scam!
treatment
i bought a king bed and paid and then the guy bringing out your items jumped on us and cussed us. I said F. this and i went to a maniger and they gave me 50.00 back on my perchuse. We get home to put it together and the stock guy didn't give us the whole bed so we had to go back and get the rest. the quality of the bed was poor, week and was broke before we put it together. so we had to do the best we could and the bed is still broke and they never cared!

cheap chinese crap!
I started to assemble a "Kitchen Butler" by American Signature and wouldn't you know - first thing, the steel fastener in step one broke as though it were powder...So, I thought - well maybe I don't know my own strength - I got on the phone - ordered another part - and decided to keep going - I got another fastener (H8 in the package) and what-do-you-know? Same thing happened, and believe me - I was being gentle. Problem is - this "USA Designed" elegant piece of crap is nothing but a Chinese piece of junk just like most of the stuff that comes out of China! When are we going to wisen up and quit buying cheap crap from a communist country that underpays most of its society? Never will I do business with this company again!

bad furniture
I ordered a sofa and loveseat from American Signature Furniture. The salesman encouraged paying for delivery because if anything were damaged and they delivered it I would get a replacement. When the furniture was delivered there was a scuff mark and a hole on the arm of the loveseat. The hole was small probably about an eighth of an inch. The delivery...

i purchased 4, 636.oo worth of crap from american signature. in less than 2 years the frame of the couch literally fell out of the bottom. it was only attached with 3 staples.
i called the company store where i purchased it and guess what. Too bad, they do no waranty their own products for more than 6 mos to a year.
i asked for the manager to call me. of course, no response.
IT IS GARBAGE, SAVE YOUR MONEY AND BUY FROM SOME STREET CORNER, BETTER CHANCE OF GETTING QUALITY ITEMS.
the omni dining room table
I bought a dining room table and chairs. A few days ago I was feeding my baby after just leaving the kitchen to make fix his bottle. About fifteen mins. later I heard a loud crash and see glass flying everywhere. I thought it was the sliding glass door. When I looked the dining room table had shattered into thousands of little pieces. The glass wa...

On 11/4/2007 I purchased my first order from American signature totaling $1, 609.05. At this point the sales person informed me of the finance special that was going on which was 0% finance for 12 months if we open an account with American Signature. We decided to open account. On 12/11/07 we went back to American Signature to purchase additional furniture. When we were checking out we asked if the finance promo was still going on and our sales representative said that it was and that he would add this order to our account. We then put in our calendar to pay both bill off in full on 10/20/2008 since it would be due by 10/29/2008. We just learned that the second purchase was put on a 6-month plan instead of 12-months and that we will be incurring finance charges on the second order totally $127.46. I called the American Signature store where we purchased our furniture and spoke with June. June said that she would have the manager call me back. Almost a week went by and no call from Alicia, the manager. Called back today and June connected me to Jason. Jason told me that it was our fault that we did not see the payment plan on the receipt (it says 6mo SAC NO PAY DEFERED. I explained that the sales rep told us that we could add our order to the same finance plan and never mentioned that it would be 6 months instead of 12 months. Jason was short, rude and quite frankly did not care. Jason said that they could not do anything about the finance charges. However, when I spoke with the finance company for American Signature they said that American Signature could write a letter explaining that I should have been on the 12-month financing plan. They were extremely rude.
American Signature is beyond horrid. Not enough time or space to tell all my "stories" but I think the utlimate test of my intelligence was when I bought a white buffet server for my kitchen. There were a LOT of scratches on one side, so I wanted a new one. They came to my house, took it back and a week later called me to let me know that the replacement [piece came in. They re-delivered this second piece, but I would not let them take it off the truck until I inspected it first. Can you believe they took a can of white GLOSS spray paint and "touched up" the scratches on this factory medium gloss painted piece? All you could see were white, shiny spots! I never buy anything from them, but at least once a year I go in and pick out a complete room or two that costs about $3500 - you should see the sparkle in the sales persons eyes. Priceless! I charge it to my American Signature Credit Account then 2 days later I call and cancel. I just like to f*** with them...
finance dept
Back in late Feb or early March of this year I purchased some furniture from American Signature. When I made the purchase, I gave them all of my correct info, including my address and soc sec #. I opted for the 0% for 1 year, then decided to be more realistic and change it to the 9.99% apy for 5 years. They couldn't even pull up my account because they had it under the wrong social! I changed it before the furniture was even delivered, which was very quickly. My furniture arrived right on time, no complaints. And it was beautiful. When I made the purchase, they could not quote me an exact amount of what my payments would be, but assured me I'd recieve a bill soon.
A little over a month went by and I hadn't received a bill yet, so I called the store. The had sent it to the address on my driver's license (not the address the furniture was delivered to or the one that I'd put as the billing address on the application). Except the address on my driver's license is my parents' house & they never recieved a bill either. They said they would update the info and send a new bill out. A couple weeks later, still no bill. Overall I called 4 times and visited the store twice before I got anything from them, each time I was assured I'd receive a bill soon. And they couldn't access the acct because they never put it under the right social! So I couldn't make a pmt at all either.
On Father's Day I get a phone call saying my payment was due on the 6th, and if I didn't make a payment immediately I'd be charged a late payment fee. I informed him I'd done my part and never received a bill. When I got my bill I'd make a payment. Okay, we'll make a note in the acct.
The next day, I get 2 phone calls from a number I don't recognize while I'm working before within 5 minutes of each other. The third time, I'm finally able to answer and it's another person from the finance company threatneing me with a late fee if I don't pay today. 15 minutes later he also agrees to put a note in the account ( I wasn't very nice this time).
Almost immediately I call the store & get the phone # for the finance company to complain. Except I can't even get a person on the phone because the automated system requires an account # before it will do anthing! I haven't gotten a bill, so no account #!
So I call back to the store & tell the lady in charge of finance in the store what's going on, how I'm receiving harassing phone calls (I work in collections, I know 3 calls in 15 minutes is illegal!) and I only want to deal with her.
Now it's October, they only last month got the account under my social and I'm now receiving bills. But once they put the acct in my social, now my interest jumps to 24.99%, except my account was supposed to be in good standing the whole time! And it's "time consuming" to get the info as to why my interest rate more than doubled. I'm about ready to tell them to come pick up my living room set, give me my $$ back, and forget the whole thing!
I could have very easily not done anything, and it never would have hit my credit. But I tried to be honest & make everything correct. Now I'm the one getting screwed!
deception
9/2/08 I spent 254.80 at signature furniture store. I bought 2 5' tall bookstands and a single bed frame. I took the bed frame home. The 2 bookstands were to arrive in a few days. However, when I called about them I was told they could not get them. Sorry. They did credit back into my account $211.86..(This was what I paid for the 2 book cases minus the...

Exactly a year ago, my husband and I purchased many items from the “West Indies Collection” for our new home. It was the most beautiful collection we had seen and trust me, we looked everywhere at everything. The style was absolutely gorgeous and the stain was exactly what we wanted. The warm stain color was most beautiful with the combination of light...

Bought and paid for a piece of furniture with promised pick up date of a Tuesday. When I showed up there was no furniture and no delivery date, just estimations. This show's a complete lack of regard for the consumer and I will never shop this furniture store again.
WARNING NEVER BUY ANTHING FOR AMERICAN SIGNATURE FURNITURE!
I PURCHASED A DINING ROOM TABLE IN JULY 2010 A CHAIR BROKE IN NOVEMBER 2010 I HAVE BEEEN CALLING TO GET THE CHAIR REPAIRED EVERYTIME ITS A DIFFERENT DATE AND NEVER SHOW UP THE STORE MANAGER IS A LIAR.

bought a new mattress on 9/08 the matress is falling apart/the store manager was rude when i complained and now i am sitting here waiting for my replacement to come and its way past the time they set up for me.
Iwill make it known to whoever will listen to stay away from that dump!
I bought my mattress set in 2009 and a year later it started to sag in the middle, they came out with a little string to measure the sag but it wasn't deep enough to be replace for them, that was in 2011, so in 2013 I called again about the same problem, well this person ask me about a board under the box springs, and I said what board, he said it should have been one under the box spring, he's a liar. my warranty says there should be a board under the king size, so when I called this 2015 for them to come out and see the ruffles and sags and feel the spring the fabric slipping, they told me that he said in 2013 that because I didn't have a board under the box, that improper use of the mattress and cancel my warranty which I didn't know that he said that until this year. I paid over 500.00 for this mattress set at value city, and suggest that you don't buy from them or American signature. I have a 17yrs warranty which means NOTHING, if the mattress started to fall in with a 1yr, they should keep their WORD. What would a board do for the lumpy, sagging and springy bed, not a damn thing, and the box spring is not sagging.
We purchased a couch from American Signature but the customer service was so horrible when attempting to set up delivery we told them to keep it and we got a refund! We will never use this company again!
I have had this exact thing happen at another store and thought it was a proposterous policy. However, its not the stores policy its the state policy regarding soiled mattresses. I actually had a memory foam mattress, the one if you jump on one side the drink on the other side won't spill. I explained if the mattress wasn't defective then the drink stain wouldn't be there. On defective mattresses they can not fix them, they have to replace it. So luckely for me after they realized I wasn't going to back down and was willing to get the media and attorney involved (my mattress cost $1500) they came took the other one away and replaced it. Maybe you should try the same thing. My entire house is furnished by American signature and I don't have any problems it.
I bought a bedroom suit from them in January of 2007. I picked it all up myself and packed it all home. When I unwrapped everything it all looked terrific. Then I noticed the cracked cross member. It was ruined. I called to speak to someone that very second and was put on hold and put off for 3 days straight. Finally after yelling alot I got someone to tell me that since I picked up the furniture myself it was not insured and they were unable to help me. No one ever told me that! All they said was that I should have opened all the furniture up at the store. How was I to pack it home had I done that? That wasn't their problem-so I was told. I have told all I know to steer clear of these snakes!
