My unit was sold in September 2023 in an Atlanta Metro Suburb location. I was in a domestic violence situation (I explained to them before they sold it) and asked for more time to pay because I was removed from bank accounts to access funds.
I asked prior to the sale if I could obtain my tax documents 2 scrapbooks, one is a 30 year scrapbook and other pictures of my deceased parents, grandparents, relatives and my kids. I was told that they would inform the purchaser of the unit to leave those items behind.
I have been contacting them repeatedly since then, only to have the employee offer to contact the purchaser or the company to ask about the items and provide them with my contact information. They made one phone call and told me that they have not responded. To date, I have been calling every week or every other week to no avail. Each time I call, they tell me that they have been calling, but the way they are responding to me makes me feel that they could care less about it, even sounding annoyed that I keep calling.
I am really concerned about my social security number, bank information, medical information, etc. being compromised. I understand that things can be replaced, but the things I was asking for are/were irreplaceable.
Claimed loss: Loss of sentimental pictures of deceased ancestors, children and grandchildren's pictures, medical documents, legal documents and tax documents for over 10 years.
Desired outcome: I would like to have the purchaser or company contacted. I would like to have my information given to them to contact me directly if possible if they have them so that I can have them sent back to me.
