Shell - aggressive shell employee: shouts, challenges for a fight

I was trying to pump up gas at a shell gas station located at 69-250 waikoloa beach dr
Waikoloa, hi [protected] on dec 17, 2009 at 21:35 (hawaiian time). I wondered if they were out of gas as they were a couple days before that when we and some other drivers had to drive a few miles to another gas station for that reason.in particular, I was confused when after sliding my credit card and raising the lever up the gas station display said "thank you" instead of "start pumping" or whatever it usually says when you are about to start pumping. so I did not even try to start pumping this time. instead I approached the shell employee and I asked him if they were out of gas. I tried to explain him the circumstances but he quickly dismissed them and then he tried to help me by pulling up the gas hose over my car to the wrong side of it. anyway, I guess I hurt his feelings when I told him to stop and I said "are you crazy?" out of frustration that he acted so weirdly. I even apologized for that when I saw that he became too upset as he started jumping up and down exclaiming "I am not crazy, you're crazy!". anyway, I thought that we were done with him as it appeared that gas was pumping fine regardless of the confusing "thank you" message.

What amazed me though was that this man kept on shouting and swearing at me for a few minutes (!) after that from a distance as I was still pumping the gas. at last I asked him: "why don't you shut up?". this seemed to enrage him even more: he quickly approached me (I was staying by my car) calling me names and trying to threaten me. he even leaned over to my car window where my wife, my mother in law and my child were sitting (they did not leave the car at any point). he leaned over and he shouted at them: "stop smiling, you, stupid!" then he challenged me to fight with him by waving his hands at me and shouting "come on!" I asked him if I could talk to his manager. he said they had no manager here: "call in the morning". then I asked him if I could see his name or an employee id on his badge. he refused my request and he started to hide (!) his badge that he was wearing with his hand. then he said that he was going to call the police and as he entered the gas station
Kiosk I managed to have a look at his badge. it said "j. r." there were also two other shell employees wearing white shirts (women) who were smoking and just quietly watching the whole episode from a distance. there was also a customer who heard this shell clerk shouting at me who asked me "what's up with this man?".

Next day I called their phone [protected] and I talked to an assistant manager varlene describing the whole situation. she flatly said that she was "sorry" and that "thank you" message means that you could start pumping. she took my cell phone# and she promised to call me back. I asked her if she could provide me with some kind of a customer case# for my complaint or if she could give me an email address for filing a customer complaint either with her or with her manager or with shell company in general. she said that they do not have a system for entering customer complaints and that neither herself or her manager have an email address. so my personal opinion is that my complaint will go nowhere as it was just a verbal conversation between me and her and therefore she may easily make things up even if she ever calls me back. which I doubt as well.

I forgot to mention that this is the only gas station
