The White Castle in Gurnee, Illinois customer service was of public squalor and tyrannize to my fifteen year old daughter. That was wrongfully disrespected as a customer, and hamulated, by an employee at this establishment.
We place our order at drive threw line. Our server was not inviting, nor did our server show any professionalism taking our order. We sat in line over 15 minutes. When we did get to the window, our server, no doubt was the manager. He did not greet, say hello or give me the total. He took my credit card out of my hand and shut the window close.
About few minutes went by he handed me a receipt and my card. Then my drink, and a few more minutes went by then we received our food.
I pulled over to make sure we received everything. we did not, he forgot my drink. My daughter walked into the restaurant. A few minutes went by and my daughter came back into the car with my drink in tears.
my daughter said a lady behind the counter, snapped and use vulgar language at her, for asking for a drink that was forgotten. That the lady body language was threatening to her. My daughter at a food establishment actually felt afraid for her safety!
I was shocked, and at a loss of words when my daughter said the man that gave us our food was the manager. He told my daughter, the lady just got there, and she was just having a bad day. Gave my daughter her drink and told her sorry.
I went to speak with the manager, and to my dismay, he did absolutely nothing. He gave me a number to call for White Castle complaint's. The young lady that verbally attacked my daughter, never apologized. The manager never said she would be given a verbal warning, written up, or sent home. The employee did smile and continued working. I at this point walked out.
I don't want this to happen to another person's child walking into this establishment. This incident has made my daughter, reluctant to go now into public settings. This is not a manager that can handle a busy establishment, and clearly not his employee's.
Desired outcome: Both manager and employee need to be suspended until workshops of customer service and business management is completed. My daughter deserve a written and public apology for what she went threw.
