On 6/28/19 at 3:14 pm my daughter and I went to Hobby Lobby to purchase wedding flowers. I saw an ad online that said flowers 50% Off We spent $387.71 on flowers that day. We went home and used the flowers for wedding arrangements but ran out. My daughter decided to check online instead of running back to the store again as we live 1 hour away. She ordered her additional flowers on Sunday and Got more flowers than we initially got AND GOT all of her flowers for 50% off! I checked my receipt and noticed only a couple items were charged at half price! On Monday I called the store to discuss it and the girl that answered told me to bring my receipt to the store and they would take care of it. We drove an hour today back to the store to be told they would not do anything without the merchandise. I explained the flowers were cut and in the wedding arrangements but the very unfriendly clerk said NO MERCHANDISE NO REFUND. COMPANY POLICY. Period. I asked to speak with the mgr. who came to the clerk who pointed at us. The girl came over to us but never introduced herself as the mgr although her name tag said Hannah, but proceeded to ask what we needed. We explained everything again and she said the flowers were apparently not on sale. I said the ad I saw said they were! She proceeded to look for the ad but couldn't produce it. She then asked me if I had a copy of the ad. I don't think it was my job to produce the ad for her...isn't that her job to know what's going on in her store? I had sections of the ad on my phone but just shots of what I sent my daughter, not the entire ad.
She asked where the flowers are. I said they are cut and in the wedding arrangements. She said you can bring them in! I said no one told me I had to bring the flowers back! I just needed the receipt! She said that is wrong. The girl on the phone shouldn't have told you that. I said that's unacceptable because I drove an hour to get there. She said well the flowers were not on sale. I said how do you know? You can't even produce the ad!
She asked me to show her what flowers we bought. I took her to them and she said...NO. THESE WEREN'T ON SALE WHEN YOU WERE HERE.
She made no effort whatsoever to help me. I left very angry ! The flowers are on sale NOW and I have the receipt which proves I bought the merchandise!
The mgr and the sales clerk were extremely unprofessional and made no effort to help me.
I hope this situation can be rectified

Flower stem 50% discount interchanges every other week so yes the week you bought some were probably on sale and the next week they weren’t. You can’t just say give them to me on sale because we didn’t buy enough and now we need more. You either pay the price for that weeks tag or wait until they go on sale again like everyone else. Simple. And yes of course their return policy is merchandise with recipes or else anyone could bring in any receipt and claim it is theirs and try and get money back from a purchase they never made.
