(a) We placed a small order for pickup at the store. When I got there, all 10 -12 pickup spots were taken by unoccupied vehicles. The owners were elsewhere. Every one of the spots. I had to drive around and wait 10 plus minutes, until I could find someone who had just come out of the store and pulling out of an occupied spot to be able to park to call in my spot for our order pick-up. After a long wait, we notified the store we were there via online and I also called in my spot - Spot #2. There was only just the one employee working, and she had just started and was overwhelmed. We had to wait 15 minutes before getting the order.
(b) As bad as all this was above, it pales in comparison to what I had to deal with while driving into Parking Spot #2. Just before I moved into the spot - I was waiting perhaps 10 to 15 seconds - I was verbally attacked by another shopper, who, from her parking spot just before the pickup spots, became demonstrably irate and insulting because I was blocking her for a maximum of 5–10 seconds. I tried to explain that I about to park - she was having none of it. After I parked, she walked past my vehicle a couple of times.
Conclusion: 1. You have a huge problem with people taking parking spots for Pickup orders. You need to fix it and fix it fast. 2. You have a problem with staffing - this is a wider problem and although annoying, at least it is more understandable given the current situation many companies are experiencing. 3. This is directly related to and is symptomatic of issue #1 above, I did not feel safe at your store. Far from it. And if it is not addressed, two things will happen. 1. I will not shop there anymore, and 2. I will make sure that everyone I know will know about how you treat your customers. I hope that you will give this the priority that it deserves and help the Store manager, Cari (I believe) fix these issues quickly!
