I stayed July 26th, booked through AARP and Expedia. Had it not been that I was exhausted from driving 10 hours and arriving after 8 pm, I would have left immediately.
No one was at the desk when I arrived, and after waiting several minutes, the clerk took more than 10 minutes to enter my credit card and DL info (which I had already done online). I did not receive a receipt, so I have no clue what they have charged.
My confirmation specifically states non-smoking. The instant I opened the bathroom door, I was assaulted with pungent cigarette smoke smell. I tried to call the front desk, but no one would answer.
The bathroom was filthy. The toilet was dirty with little sign that it had been cleaned. The phone was so disgusting I used a cloth to hold the receiver. I was in room 125, yet the phone said 102. The sheers of the window curtains were shredded and ripped — and it was clear that was not a new tear.
The lamps were filthy, and the bedside lamp was the worst, with a layer of dust. The carpet was damp, and I refused to walk on it with bare feet.
I also paid for Wifi, and the service was painfully dial-up slow, and kept knocking me off my work site. The room had a desk — but no desk chair!
Breakfast was equally poor. The grits was a soupy, watery mush - and the oatmeal wasn't any better.
I expected MUCH better from a Wyndham property. Had anyone been at the desk when I left, I would have discussed this — but all we had was a box to receive room keys.
I deserve if not a full refund, at least 75% return. I couldn't leave that place fast enough.
