Dollar Tree - Cashier was condescending

Feb 13, 2020 around 5:00pm. I shopped at Dollar Tree today and a cashier (middle aged :45+, orange/red hair, glasses, thin) greeted me. Everything was fine until I went to pay. Total was 8.28 and I wanted to pay 20.50. That $20 bill would have covered it but I was trying to get less change back. I would have gotten 12.22 back had she a accepted my change (during this change shortage I thought it would be appreciated). She took my change and stood there with it, stood confused and then started passive aggressive arguing with me about it while I stood quietly listening to her. She passive aggressive argued with me using words and a tone obviously trying to make me feel stupid. After her tangent, I told her 'not to worry about it, I just wanted less change back' and handed her just the $20 bill. I was and am deeply offended and feel really judged. I paid with coin rolls before no problem until today at about 5pm. There shouldn't have been an issue and all cash registers should have a weight on their station to 'weigh' the coins and trained as such situations will arise. Please teach all employees about respect. I felt very insignificant and devalued and stupid or at least they tried to make me look/feel. It was not an issue until it was made a big deal by the cashier holding up the line that formed (I saw the line forming and that's when I told her to not worry about it).

Desired outcome: Teach all employees that WORDS MATTER and to treat everyone with graciousness. You don't know what's going on in their life. Apology.
