I called to cancel Waste Management services in July when a new company offered a very slight cost savings. The main reason I changed was the receipt of a long list of fees for cancellation, temporary halts, bin replacement and so forth; none of which were ever mentioned when Waste Management bought Deffenbaugh Services. Incidentally Deffenbauch had a history of dubious "evergreen contract" practices.
When I called I told the customer service agent that I would not agree to the pick up fee as I had never agreed to those terms and in fact had never signed any agreement; I was told that was OK. Now I keep getting bills which I consider predatory business practices. Many neighbors have been faced with similar fees and while some paid for pick up, some returned bins on their own and many refused payment.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer's satisfaction.

I called the company several times about the skipped pick ups and an over charge to what they say was an overflow and they had a picture of the overflow. I have a 2yard dumpster and every week it barely reaches half way and the only reason it had to be an overflow was due to the fact that they never picked up according to our tenants. My huge complaint constantly calling them that our dumpster was not picked up again and again. I was never told they had changed the schedule pick up from our agreed Fridays to Tuesdays without letting us know anything even though I called to let them know that the dumpster was not picked up, the Custer service would say we apologize we will pick up Tuesday and never mentioned there has been a change in your pick up. It has been a nightmare with this Company I have my tenants baby sitting the dumpsters due to there poor services. I called to cancel my contract due to too many issues, now WM added additional extra $5 dumpster $5 Recycle dumpster plus huge rise to all the extras fuel, environmental etc. etc. unbelievable a huge difference to my bill, and the above as stated complaints. Speaking to Ms. Bensi was so unprofessional, with a nasty attitude that she did not give me a chance to speak and express my frustrations and disappointments. I signed a contract for 2 years for a trash dumpster 5 months later we ordered a recycle dumpster signed the second contract thinking it was for the recycle dumpster but the deceiving sales person who was so wonderful never mentioned he decided to make it as a whole new contract with both trash and recycle dumpster and added a 3 year contract without mentioning he was going to change it from my previous 2 year. WM just lost 3 contracts with my neighbors after hearing about my experience. I have 2 more years with them, I can't, my health and the stress they put you through is not worth it.
