I had a very disappointing experience today at the store. My order barcode is #T11319Q6Q11411HF44AWND7
I took my mother and my mother in law who were visiting in town in order to help me recover after a surgery. I was paying for all the things they got. When I went to the registers the girl that was the cashier took 2 items and set them aside and I heard her say to another one that she needed a price check in a hair serum because it did not had a price tag. But she also took a cup that came with a butterfly spoon that I got from clearance aisle that was already marked at $2.00. She told me that the hair serum was 7.99 and that if I was ok purchasing it and I said it was fine. After she gave me the receipt I checked it at the store and went back to her and said that how come the cup was not a $2.00 and she said she looked in the system and it was 12.99. I told her to that it was a clearance item and that was reduced many times apparently which was the reason I was getting it. I asked her why she did not informed me about the price change like she did with the hair serum and she rudely said that some customers take tags of other things and place them in items to get them cheeper.
I was enfuriated because she was basically telling me that I was cheating! Then, she even with a more attitude said that oh I can return the item if you want. I told her that is not about the 12 dollars but her deceiving attitude and that fact that she was implying that I did such a horrible thing.
I wanted to get the supervisor but my surgical scars were bothering me and did not wanted to prolong this inconvenience. First she was not up front and honest about the product and what she was doing. Second, when I confronted her she assumed that I was changing labels (in order words saying that I am thief).
I have been a homegoods/ tj maxx and marshalls card holder for many years. I feel that I was offended and harassed by your staff member. You can check the cameras and my purchase history and see if I would be a kind of client that would do such a horrible thing. On top of everything I am a latina woman, so that even makes worse, because I saw her attitude and she would not do that to a white person. I am disgusted at their behavior and the fact that this girl will get away with everything and your store is not going to do anything about it.

Desired outcome: staff that was involved in this transaction is educated about communicating with clients about changes in price and not to make unbased accusations.
