I have been shopping at this store for years and I've been shopping there through out the pandemic as well. For medical reasons I am not able to wear a mask and have been advised to social distance, which is what I do while I'm in Stop & Shop. I abide by the arrows on the floor and I do shop later in the evening when it's less busy. Tonight when I ran in to pick up something, I was stopped by the Manager on duty Brandon. Who informs me he needs to escort me around the store. I asked when this became policy and he claimed always during the pandemic. This is the first I've heard of this, it's never been done before. And I told Brandon he was full of it. I also was approached once by Brian Whalen and asked if I was almost done shopping, which I don't think was called for either. Last couple of times that I have been in the store, a few of the employees have been pretty rude (ones I was actually friendly with) Shawn Piedra (which is where I think the problems began), David Bergeron (says he's not allowed to speak with me, not sure who told him that). Not to mention Security came down. Now I'm not a violent person, I'm not thief. I'm a disabled 55 yr. old woman. But I also don't allow people to push me around either, I do speak up for myself. But I have done nothing at this store to deserve this form of treatment. I also found it very discriminatory behavior on their part and also quite embarrassing. I have gone out of my way to be kind to the employees there, opened up my home to them during their strike for bathroom runs, given rides to some of the employees who walk (because they weren't feeling well or the weather was bad). I'm so hurt and angry by this treatment that I am starting to get there. It's uncalled for.
