VCA Animal Hospitals - professionalism

Yesterday I brought my puppy to a VCA hospital to have a wellness check up to make sure she was healthy being that I just got her as a gift 2 weeks prior. She has her necessary shots and I provided paperwork. The nurse was very pushy with trying to get me to enroll in the VCA care club program to where I'm uninterested because I already have insurance for my puppy and after this unprofessionally experience, I definitely won't be back. The nurse explained that my puppy needs shots (ones that she already has), however she didn't check her paperwork to know that she already has her needed shots for her age! As i declined and asked to speak It over with the doctor, she went outside to retrieve the doctor. She then was whispering to another coworker that she told me the cost of the visit and I declined because I don't want to pay.
That statement was very unprofessional and beyond rude. Whether I want to get my shots for my puppy there or not, it's not her business nor concern. I will not be returning to any VCA hospital. I came to bring my puppy for a wellness checkup and was being gossiped about in the process. She was rude and unprofessional behind closed doors.

VCA Animal Hospitals - Very unprofessional

I took my four year old Shih-Tzu to VCA Buckhead Animal Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia on May 14, 2021 for his 9:30a.m. appointment. The nurse refused to check my dog in after I explained to her that I was unable to check him in myself, because my cell phone had died and I did not have my cell phone charger with me. I explained to this nurse that I had been here with my dog Rigby just 3 weeks ago for his shots, and the nurse checked him in for me without a problem. This nurse went back inside the clinic to talk to somebody about my situation. When she returned, she said, "No, I can't take your dog in, because you did not check him in." Again, I explained to her that I cannot check him in because my cell phone has died and I don't have a charger with me. I asked this nurse if she could check my dog in, because we do have an appointment and we are on time for his appointment. She went back inside the clinic a second time talking to somebody about the situation. When she returned, she still refused to check my dog for his appointment. I continued asking for assistance with the check in process for him, because of my phone situation, she went back in the office a third time, came back and said, "No, I can't take him in." While she was stuck on stupid, going back and forth into the office, me and me dog had to stand outside the clinic in the cold weather waiting for somebody to help. The fourth time, a different nurse named Ashley showed up at the door. I explained to Ashley the situation with my cell phone which is why I am unable to check my dog in. Ashley was very unprofessional, very rude, very uncaring, and showed no concern for my dog getting in to see the veterinarian to get his booster shot and fecal test done. She refused to take my dog, because I could not check him in myself. She stood at the door arguing at me about the check in process, even said to me, "you need to bring your cell phone charger next time." She said this in a condescending tone of voice. I told her that she was being very disrespectful and rude talking to me this way. She denied that she was being rude and continued arguing at me while still refusing to take my dog in for his appointment. This Ashley girl did not care about my dog getting the medical care that he needed. All she cared about was a simple technical check in process which she could have easily done herself, so that my dog could be seen by the vet. She did not want to provide service to my dog and did not accommodate me with the check in process. She just kept arguing at me outside in the cold weather instead of taking care of my dog. Finally, I told this Ashley girl, that I don't have to bring my dog here, and I'm not going to tolerate her speaking to me disrespectfully. So, I took my dog and left. I will never bring my dog back to VCA Animal hospital ever again. They hire unprofessional and uncaring people. I will be taking my dog to Banfield Pet Hospital. They are way better than VCA. They work with their clients. If you cannot check your dog in yourself at Banfield Pet Hospital, they simply check in your dog when you arrive for your appointment unlike VCA Buckhead Animal Hospital. I advise people "Stay away for VCA animal hospitals." They don't care about your fur babies.
