Ourisman Hyundai of Bowie - Botched oil change leaving me stuck on the highway on mother's day

Saturday May 13th, I had my relatively new 2022 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid serviced for the very first time at Hyundai Ourisman of Bowie. I woke up very early today (Mother’s Day) Sunday May 14th to drive to New Jersey to surprise my 88-year-old mother in her long-term facility for Mother’s Day. At around 5:45 am while on highway 97 traveling northbound my check oil light came on, then instantly my check engine light came on and lost total acceleration on the vehicle. I was able to pull over to the side of the road, contact Hyundai SOS and they called a tow truck to pick me up. The vehicle did re-start, I placed my hazards on and drove slowly to get off the highway and get someplace safe. I was able to coast downhill and get to a gas station to wait for a tow. While sitting in my vehicle I noticed a lot of fluid was coming from the undercarriage. I backed the car up a bit to confirm it was from my vehicle and yes, a new oil puddle formed. Roughly 2 hours later a tow truck arrived, and the driver also noticed all the oil leaking from the car, and I had the car towed back to the dealership that serviced the vehicle. Of course, today being Sunday 8:30 am the dealership is closed, customer service is closed and no one is available to assist. We left the vehicle in the lot and waited for a response from someone. When I arrive back home in the daylight I can now see where oil has leaked all over my garage, all over my driveway and on the street in front of my house.

So, no car, no mother’s day visit with my 88 year old mother, stuck at home with no way of getting around, oil in my garage, drive way, a relatively brand new 2022 Tucson that now could have suffered long term engine damage, and all I can do is HOPE someone will contact me Monday morning with a car to use and a full blown explanation of what happened with the servicing.
