Toyota - toyota of southern maryland

the toyota of southern Md dealership at 22500 Three Notch Rd, Lexington Park, MD 20653. sold us a certified preowned car and then behind our back 1.) snatched the accessories out of the car while we were in the finance office.
2.) damaged the alloy rim while moving the car around to front of the building and then tried to dey it.
3.) further damaged the rocker panel of the car buy having the vehicle on a jack stand for 3 weeks while the alloy rim was being repaired of site. instead of fully replacing the wheel/rim.
4.) doesnt enforce a no jewelry rule on their mechanics while working, to avoid scratches on a new shinny paint job, then act surprized and confused when we the customer shows them scratches on the vehicle that are obvious and were not on vehicle weeks before when the service department received vehicle into their custody for servicing.
5.) then the dealership illegally retaliates by refusing to honor aspects of the sales contract that both parties agreed to. and that all other customers past/present and future currently enjoy. the sales agreement includes lifetime free car washes, as long as we own the vehicle we bought. we live 8 tenths of a mile away and free car washes was a major selling point. especially since a car wash at the automated car wash is $11 to $16 dollars everytime you need a wash the dealerships sales agreement free car wash for life was a major reason we agreed to buy from them. this constitutes contract fraud. it is a failure to uphold their end of the deal. but yet they expect us to pay $329 every month without fail or they will report us to the credit bureaus and destroy our credit score. in st. marys county a car was is at the lowest $11 each week. that is $44 every month to keep the car clean, and it is $528 a year so this is fraud on a large scale. whats next is the dealer going to renege on the free oil changes in the contract, too. because that is also a reason we bougth from them.
6.) also the Toyota of Southern Md in Lexington Park said and assured me the did a full inspection as required by Md state law. well they must of had their in house mechanic falsify the inspection documents. because the head salesman had the head mechanic come into the office and showed me a tread depth gauge and the gauge indicated 9/32 of tread depth on the tires to the car we were in the process of buying. We have proof from a tire shop that shows that the tread depth is 2/32 which is below the legal limit by state law in Md. We bought the car with 43, 002 miles and at 44, 108 miles a neutral party/professional mechanic said there is no way the tires had 9/32 of tread depth 3 months earlier and now barely 1, 006 miles later the tires have 2/32 of tread depth. the mechanic said unfortunately dealers can easily falsify inspection records because the state inspectors who are responsible for reviewing/auditing their records and or showing up on the dealership lot and randomly checking tread depth and pad thickness are under staffed and over worked. so dealerships gamble they wont get caught.
7.) the also falsified the brake pad thickness because they are also dangerously thin and the pads were inspected 1, 006 miles after the labor purchase date.
8.) the dealership said and guaranteed a $100 refund if it was true that the DMV/MVA would allow the military tags on the old car to transfer to the preowned car we bought from them at Toyota of Southern Md. Why because the price for a new set of tags was $361 dollars but the MVA said it was much less if you transfer your old tags. As of yet we have not received the $100 over charge.
9.) they also overcharged us on the interest rate with Toyota finance. we actually qualified for 4.5% to 5% and they misled/lied to us and said you only qualify for 7.1% almost the highest rate they offer to clients.
10.) they also changed the price we agreed to pay for the car. they put the price $1, 000 higher on the contract. we didn't notice intentional/illegal change because the change was hidden in such a way no one could se it. the contract was preprinted and the box for the price of the car was a dark color font, and the font from their print machine was a light color ink. so we couldn't see at all that they had changed the price by a $1, 000. when I confronted them about the hidden price increase. they refused to comment. you actually need a magnifying glass and a flashlight to actually see how they unlawfully change the price and hid the new number(s) behind/under/on top of dark font but using light font for the with out consent switched price.

if you have any questions about this yelp comment/complaint/or report I have written feel free to call me at [protected] and reference Toyota of Southern Md maybe there are other victims and we can bring a class action suite against them. as of yet they have refused to rectify the fraud against us but maybe the owner is unaware as of yet. my next step is to file a civil/criminal complaint with the court. this is not how any business should treat its customers, and a US Army Veteran they should be ashamed of themselves.
