Hi-I work by Speedway. Myself and many other of our employees have noticed a huge change in the general appearance of the store and grounds. It took months this Spring to get the parking lot repaired. There are still holes that need to be filled. The fence by the car wash was falling over. They just fixed this now.
Inside it feels dirty and icky. There is very rarely any food on the grill, pizza or other advertised items/special in the warmer. I have noticed items are expired and told the staff. The next time I went in, the expired items were still in stock on the shelves. The coke products always seem to be out. Today was the frozen iced coffee.
There is a self-checkout, which is great because I go during lunch every day and there are long lines, but the self-checkout never works.
There is a new male manager that seems very inexperienced. He is super nice and helpful but maybe just needs some more help. Not to mention that the store in general seems understaffed. Cheri is there most mornings and she is awesome.
Also, you have homeless people living behind the fence and outside the building. That scares people off.
There is literally and Kwik Trip one block further away. I know myself and other have started going there for obvious reasons. We miss the convenience of just being able to quick run to Speedway but those days are beginning to be less and less.
Honestly when it was Super America there were no issues. I heard 7 eleven is taking over and will possibly change names soon. I certainly hope not. They were terrible when they were in MN previously.
Desired outcome: Be competitive with Kwik Trip or at least back to the way it used to be before the change to Speedway
