Cracker Barrel - Complaint

Today we did lunch at Cracker Barrel in Independence, MO. First off we had about a 10 minute wait. When we were taken in we were not take to a window seat as requested, plus, the entire center section was vacant with about 1/2 the tables piled with dirty dishes. Not first of all why the wait, second, if it was vacant why tables were not cleared with no customers to be waited on and lastly why we were taken to a table smack dab in the middle of the first dining room that was full.

We finally got seated and was waited on. We gave our order and then had a rather lenghty wait. 15 to 20 minutes. Our food finally came out. Hambuger patty for one and catfish for the other. The fish was just ok but a bit smaller than usual with about a $2 increase in price. The hambuger patty was basically burn't on one side even though it was ordered medium. That I assume they though was ok, because they put the burnt side down to hide it. That just tells me they knew they messed it up and tried to hide it like the customer wouldn't notice. Duh.

No biscuits came out and we were told they would be about 10 minutes. I ten minutes we would be more than 1/2 done with our meals and wouldn't need them. That's ok though, because they never came out. We finished, got upt to go pay and at check out the Lady ahead of us had the same problem with no bisquits with her meal. They brought her a sack of 2 biscuits to carry out with her in attemp to make it right. What is right about that. The bisquits were paid for as part of the meal. What good are two bisquits that by the time you get home are hard and dry and without the meal. Cracker Barrel Management was less then competant and felt that was the solution. To us the price was the same, with a burn't hambuger patty and no bisquits as with a properly prepared patty and all you can eat bisquits. Dosn't something seem wrong with this picture. Also, you can't tell me it takes longer to prepare biscuits than it does to cook a hambuger patty or fried fish. Considering our meals took 20 minutes or better to come out, the biscuits had more than enough time to prepare and bake.

Desired outcome: There could be a discounted ticket, a choice to get something else or perhaps in this case, where the customer didn't get their biscuits durning their mean, perhaps offer a beverage or desert instead.

Same here. We dined at CB few weeks ago and we had to remind server of those biscuits.

I’m thinking they servers are instructed to not present the biscuits unless the people ask for them.

Times are tough, server staff limited and portions are getting smaller with prices increasing everywhere.

Covid changed many things in life but it’s up to the General Managers who own each individual franchise to manage staff and prices!
