I visited an Aspen Dental over 3 weeks ago. I had scheduled an extraction and put down a $200 deposit for the procedure. After I left I did some additional searching and found another dental office that would do the extraction free as I am a low income single mother on Medicaid. I called Aspen back and informed them of the situation, cancelled the upcoming extraction appt and requested my deposit be refunded. At that time, I was to, d be the office staff person that I would receive a credit back to my account in 7-10 business days. After 10 business days went by abd there was still no credit back to my account I called the office again to inquire why I had not been refunded as promised. I was given a run around, told that the dept was running behind and they couldn't give me a time frame as to when I would get my money back.
There is no excuse for this to be taking longer than 10 business days, Aspen took my money immediately, and they definitely have the capability of returning my money immediately, it is just simply not a priority. This is causing me a great deal of financial hardship, as again I stated I'm a single mother, and don't have a high income. $200 is a lot of money to me that I have not had access to for no good reason. I'm upset and fed up, and I want my money returned immediately. I've already contacted the Missouri Attorney Generals office and filed a complaint with them against Aspen for this matter. I expect my money returned to me no later than 8/4/2023 which will be 11 days since I requested my money be returned.
Desired outcome: Credit of $209 to my credit card on 8/4/2023 by Aspen Dental. My name is Rachel Mrozewski and I was seen at the St. Louis office on Chippewa rd.
