I ordered a birthday cake on April 11, 2022 at 1130 am for April 28,2022 at the Wegmans Store in Morrisville, NC on Davis Drive. I gave the worker specific instructions and she wrote it down on an order form. She handed me a yellow copy of the order with pricing of the cake-37.00. I went to pick up this cake today a 11:30 am (April 28,2022) and was told that there was no such order for me. I wanted to speak to a manager but was directed to some worker in a chef coat. I raised my voice as I was expecting a cake for a birthday party that this afternoon. I was told to not speak that way. That even mad me angrier. Why did I have to be insulted? Someone did not follow through on this cake order. I was hoping for a replacement cake off the shelf but the chef was too busy worrying about my reaction. I ended up going down the street and getting a replacement from Food Lion They were very willing to make a replacement cake in a few hours.
Desired outcome: I would like the exact cake made for me for Mother's Day without any cost to me!!
The Wegmans customer service ideal is clearly missing in the Cary, NC store
