Wawa - Rude cashier

Wawa 275 WWhite Horse Pike

Galloway Township NJ

Sunday June 12 about 730pm east

I witnessed a cashier behind the cigarette counter be very rude to an older customer. He was being harassed by two juvenile boys.

The older customer approached the cashier to report the incident and she was indifferent and rude.

Then the customer asked to see the manager. She tried to listen to the customers issue but the rude cashier keep saying things to the person.

The manager asked her to stop. Then another customer a middle aged heavy set woman started to yell at the older man saying these people working their [censored] off... it had nothing to do with the juveniles that harassed the man.

The cashier stoked the flames by mouthing off at both the manager and customer.

The manager assisted the customer in getting his order quickly and he left without further incident.

The whole dumpster fire could have been avoided if the cashier immediately upon being approached by this customer to tell the older customer to see the manager.

Desired outcome: Disciplinary action to include written report in employeebfile, suspension, or termination. Apology to that customer.

Customers -Drug OverDose in men's and women's room

Pleasantville NJ Wawa at Delilah Rd and USRt9

This is an ongoing unresolved and unresponsive issue Corporate needs to address immediately!

Families and seniors keep away from this store until Security guards or local PD can patrol inside this location.

Wawa does this inside PD patrol at several of its west coast Florida locations, i.e. Pinellas County Sherriff inside of Roosevelt Blvd US19 location.

The general public and Wawa associates have been at risk.

Time to act in Atlantic County, RedRoof!

Wawa - an employee at the store.. female hispanic

I came into Wawa one evening and I usually get the 'small' sample cup because I cannot drink a whole cup of coffee due to health issues, but I enjoy the coffee there whenever I get a chance. But this one particular night I stopped in and to find out the attendant had to 'make' me it...and all thought she didnt have any problem fixing it just as u asked, another 'Female -hispanic' employee that seemed to have a 'PROBLEM' with her making this small cup for me, and as i stood there just for a few seconds the woman looked at me shaking her head as in some disbelief, and as i said 'Looking dead at my face' and said "Unbelievable" ...as she seemed disgusted by me getting the girl to make this small coffee. So most of the time I dont care too much what people think or say, but this was blatant and completely directed to me. I spoke up and said to the spanish woman "Excuse me, but is there a problem?" And she again just looked at me in like disbelief while shaking her head. She then said "Oh no, I was just talking to her", meaning the coffee attendant, when it was more than obvious that she was lying as again shaking her head in disbelief like as if disgusted by something just as she did before I spoke up to her. And I said "Oh, ok well I was just asking because you seemed like you had a problem of some kind!" and I walked out of the store, throwing the coffee out as now I left in disbelief of what just happened. I come to this particular Wawa all the time different times of the day or night, or when ever, and I never felt or been treated by anyone other than in a professional manner, always a pleasant experience. I have Wawa closer to me, but I specifically come to this one because I usually have other errands to run, or just because I like that one. But yesterday was my '3rd Encounter' with this woman, and none of them did I directly deal with her, but I got a sandwich made and I had to have my face mask on, and as I saw the women behind the counter working and laughing, I happened to pull my mask down and she looked dead at me and stopped and her whole face changed. Then Last night about 6pm or so, I stopped there to get me some iced tea and ice, I sent my son in because he likes to do that, but I wound up having to go in to use the ATM, when my son(he's 11) approached me and said "Mom, I tried to ask for ice but I can't find anyone" so I went to look for someone as well and there really was NO ONE THERE TO ASK...and of course I cant get it myself, I never had any problems asking for ice in ANY WAWA I've gone to, well we had the iced tea and came to the register and there was a young black woman there behind the plexiglas and as we set the bottles down so she could ring it up, we asked "Excuse me, is there someone behind the counter that can give us ice?" and she seemed hesitant looking past us, like looking on HOW she should answer us and said "Oh we dont give out ice anymore?", I said "Really, that's funny I just got some a few days ago, since when did that start?" and the girl said " Oh, since this whole thing started." I said "hmm that's funny no one ever said that to us before, because as I said I just got some a few days ago"...and the girl was looking past us as she was telling this obvious lie, when low and behold I turn around and see that same spanish woman, most likely gesturing for her to not give us anything, or get anyone to help us. Is funny because at that moment I think we were the only ones in the whole store as this was happening and this woman went and stood at the other register, the one they use as to back-up when it gets crowded, and stood there for a little while and I noticed this after we were in our car, I saw her looking out towards the gas station, like as if she was busy. I don't know what kind of employee she is, because I've been coming to this Wawa since it opened as well as many others, and never had this type of interaction with someone that seems so unprofessional at that. You know I understand all these things changing around us every day now, and no body likes it, but I shouldn't and neither should anyone else feel or be treated wrongly because of their pure ignorance that's really unacceptable regardless of what's happening in the world right now, things are already tough enough. I dont go to that store expecting to be ridiculed or harrassed by someone who seems to have a problem with me. I'm a good person, and anyone will tell you this, but I refuse to be judged by someone who knows nothing about me, as she really shouldn't, but to be acting and reacting like this is definitely UNACCEPTABLE in any and every situation here. I truly wasnt going to say anything about the 'coffee incident' at first because I thought 'well, were all having to get use to the new changes' and decided to brush it off, but as of last night it was a most positive affirmation that this woman Does Have A Problem With Me, and now I have a problem with her as well after and since all of this. Again, I don't know if this woman is a Supervisor or just a regular employee, but regardless, I think you should have better minded people working for you like all your other employees and staff. I enjoy Wawa, no matter where it is, I always find I need something and they usually have what I'm looking for, so in that sense I'm a very satisfied customer. But these awful encounters had to really get to me to have made me file a complaint. I hope she is dealt with, as I'm sure I'm not the only customer she has done this to. Thank you.

Wawa - racially discriminated against and poor customer service.

I feel that my daughter and I were racially harassed and treated horribly by the so called management in this establishment.

My daughter came in to buy NyQuil and make a cup of tea because she wasn't feeling well. she was told that she needed an ID, because she did not have her purse I had to go in to pay for it. As I was paying, I said to the cashier that I never heard of having to show an ID to purchase NyQuil, and she replied that it has always been their policy. After paying and I am walking out of the store she says loudly "what about those peanuts your daughter stole". I replied stole my daughter is a grown women and a teacher and would never steal, and why would she steal peanuts for a dollar and pay for 5 dollar NyQuil. she proceed to say "yes she did we stood here and watched her".

When I went out to tell my daughter. The customer that was behind me in line told me that she wrote down my license plate number. My daughter went back the store in to show the women that she had 2 lemon packets in her pocket for her tea that she just purchased. She stated to the women that it was not a very good accusation to make and perhaps it was because of the color of her skin. My reply was that if you thought she stole then why let her walk out without inquiring. She could have nicely inquired that she saw her put something in her pocket ( in which the peanuts are not near the hot water or tea bags.)

Now I am livid, because she wrote down my plate number, I too am a teacher, and we are not going to have our jobs jeopardized by being accused of stealing a pack of peanuts. I asked to speak to the manager, and the other cashier says that she is the manager and as high as it gets. then the girl making sandwiches says that she too is a manager and that there is no one else that I can speak too.( her badge said lead). She proceeded to mock and talk about me to another employee and when I questioned her she told me to "stop looking at her then" and my daughter should have never said that this was based on race. I replied that I now feel the same way, and that it is ridiculous to be accused of stealing peanuts out loud in front of everyone in the store. I also stated that we are both teachers and we could buy even pack of peanuts on that shelf if we wanted to. Then the very unprofessional lady, so called manager tells me to get out.

My daughter called the police so that we can have documentation. While we were waiting I called my sister which lives down the street and frequents this Wawa daily. (we had just had Christmas dinner at her house). She was told by now another head person that she can't have the district or corporate managers name and number because the police are now involved. This too was unprofessional and did not make since.

The police officer went in to get the information for us and told us that we can file a harassment charge against the store and his name and info are at the Galloway Township police department.

After speaking to this so called manager, she recanted her accusations. She tells him that she didn't see her steal anything. My brother in law also talked to the gas station manager on duty last night to complain, because this whole ordeal could have been avoidable.

This makes no since at all, here it is Christmas evening and we are treated as some lowly criminals because of the color of our skin. This was an embarrassing, unprofessional accusation that could have possibly jeopardized our jobs. We feel humiliated and I will never go in the Wawa again.

It does not matter what RACE your daughter is. EVERYONE, BLACK, WHITE ECT. is asked for ID. The fact that you are ASSuming that she made this comment because of the color or your daughter's skin shows that you think poorly of your own people. Perhaps you are ashamed of your own race?

Also no need to call a grown woman a "girl" when it is YOU who is acting like a child.

It is a shame you and your daughter ate teachers. You would make poor role models to your students. Hopefully you have to fail a student and the parents of the studente accuse you or racism for failing their students.

You are right your daughter should NEVER have said it was based on race. Obviously she thinks poorly of her own people, and obviously she is ashamed of your race just like you are.

Also if you do not know the difference between "since" and "sense" what are you teaching your students. I hope you are not an English teacher. If you were you would know to put.

"This does not make sense."

not

"This does not make since".

GROW UP. This has nothing to do with the color of your skin. The only people that thinks your people are thieves are you and your daughter. You and your daughter are obviously ashamed of your own race to even think this.

Usually those who play the race card without proof are the real racists. If the manager and cashier had the same skin color as you do I bet you would not be ASSuming that this is a racial issue. This makes YOU and YOUR DAUGHTER RACIST.
