I went in to deposit my payroll check, my account was negative because I had a bill hit today too. I asked for $20 cash back. I was told I could not get any money back because my account was negative. I explained I haven't been working for the last 7 months and I don't have a penny to my name. I only needed enough to get dinner for my children. Claudia then replied there is nothing she can since I wanted till almost 5pm to go in and deposit check. I tried to tell I just got off work and just just needed some help. I asked for a manager and no one ever came out so I left and called customer service. Only to find out the branch could have given me money back it was their discretion. I have been a member for over 10 years and I feel so humiliated and upset. For one, I should not be begging for own money and two, this was done at the window in the lobby! I have worked customer service for over 20 years and I would have never thought to do this to a customer and think it's okay! And after explaining this on the phone, your customer representive replied well good news is the money will be available first thing in the morning. Do you know how upsetting that is when I just told them, I didn't have money to get my kids food tonight! I'm shocked and almost dumbfounded that this actually happened! What happened to caring about your customer? It's a payroll check and if my company had direct deposit, this money would have been available today, even with my account being negative! This absolutely ridiculous!
