My Name is Amelia Langston, and I would like to file a complaint regarding one of your cashiers at the Bronx Store near my home and where I have spent thousands of dollars shopping for groceries for my family.
On Thursday, evening March 11, 2021 at exactly 8:13 p.m. after along day at work on Wall Street, I come in to your store located at 1994 Bruckner Blvd, (718) 794-1690 to pick up several Items, and just so that you understand each time I go into this store I spend over a $100.00 each time, and that is because I like the store, I like the cleanliness, I trust how the market is kept, I know where everything is, and most of all the prices and fresh food, make me feel very comfortable.
But as I was saying, I had finished shopping and got on the line and waited to be told next, or cashier 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, who ever is available, on this evening I was told cashier #10, was next, as I go over to cashier #10 the cashier who was pregnant maybe 6 or 7 months, I have no idea how many months,
But as I arrive at the cashier #10, she seemed up have gotten upset because she had just shut down and was about to walk away, she saw me and got very upset because she had to log on again, I quickly saw the attitude and advised I would get back on the line and wait for someone else if she needed to step away, I went back to the line and she began to curse and yell about "I have to go to the bathroom" "[censored]in people don't understand" what the hell, wait for someone else"I am having a baby" on and on and on please I work all-day 9:00 to 8:00 p.M. As an attorney and believe me I am just as tired as anyone else at the end of the day, and the last thing I need is to be cursed out for no reason, I was just trying to pay for my groceries, I was told to go to cashier #10. I didn't just walk up to the register without being told... Where is the customer respect, I got into my car and just cried because I did nothing wrong, nothing all I did was pick up some groceries.
I asked that you please, please try to teach and have meeting about what customer service really means and how people should be treated. I spend my hard earned dollars in your supermarket. I was so hurt, why should I be treated like this why, if I didn't real need the grocery's I would have walked out. All I asked is to please not be treated in such a disrespectful way in your store. Please, please.
This young person does not need to be working if she is so far in her pregnancy that her attitude gets in the way of dealing with the customers who enter this very nice store. I can have my husband take me else way if needed.
