My brother and I went to 961 east 174th street stop and shop and we brought our own bags to bag our groceries when we finished paying. While we was shopping the guard who is white was follow us around the store and when we got to the register Ashley was ringing our items up and my brother started packing our reusable bag up the same security came over to my brother and I requested a receipt of the bags my brother explained to him that we brought these bags from our home and also told the guy you know that we had these bags when we came in because you was following us threw out the store. Mid way thru our groceries Ashley was switch out with Nicole who is a front end person at the store. We often shop at this store never had a issue till now and we are very displeased with his behavior racism and harassment, mistreatment to a paying customer.
Stop & Shop - Coupon policy
The cashiers are very rude and nasty and the managers/supervisors are even worse. Not only do they not honor their coupon policies like other locations in the bronx, the managers clearly do not even know it! It's very frustrating and annoying because the company put a coupon policy in place so that the customers can use it. So why is it up to these managers and cashiers to decide whether or not they want to accept it. I shouldn't have to only utilize the self checkout registers in order to use my coupons! And they even insulted me about using coupons while I was there and if my daughter wasn't with my I would've caused a scene. I work in customer service too and I never treat people the way that they do at this location!
It's called selective amnesia, pretend you don't know your own store's policies, assume that all customers with coupons(or returns) are out to scam the store, and act as surely and nasty as possible
Stop & Shop - Service
Good day
I went to stop&shop store#2593 on august 15, 2020 aauth# 492174 got the circular inside and went shopping. On the circular it had snapple but buy 12 pack and get one free. When I went to cashier he scanned one I told him I have another but is free. He looked at register and said no, his name cashier ousman. He called another person and she said no that was last week circular, I stated that is not my fault. She went to look to see if it was in the side came back on its not there. I said it's in the circular, she stated oh that was last week. I stated I got this circular from the store not by magic, oh we can't give it to you. I stated no, I will not be charged for something that is not my fault, I am not lying as I can see and I would not pull the circular out of air. I said either I go by what the customer is stating in which the cashier state is true or take it out of my cart. They took it out of my own cart and deduct.
I have shipped in this grocery before it was stop and shop, I have never felt so angry and humiliated. They never went to get the manager.
