I went into this location today and grabbed a few items, two items being sweaters from the clearance rack in the men's section. I waited on a very long line for 20mins to purchase my items while other workers just stood around moving items around on the floor instead of helping the line that consisted of about 50 customers. After 20 minutes waiting in a line I finally made it to the register only to be advised by the cashier that two of the items I was purchasing had the incorrect sales/clearance sticker. The cashier proceeded to tell me the sticker number is supposed to match the tag as if I am an employee there and should babe done my shopping making sure the Clearance sticker was correct. I requested to speak with a manager at this point not because I wanted the items at the price listed on the tags but because I wanted to make sure the manager was aware of items on the clearance rack improperly tagged. I waited 15 minutes for a manager to show as the cashier continued to say he was upstairs, finally the very disorganized and unpleasant looking man by the name of Mohammed arrived. Before I could even tell him my concerns he immediately stated "do you want the items or not." I explain to Mohammed that is not how you greet a customer that has already spent almost 1 hour in the establishment looking for items to spend their money on. Mohammed then realizing I was not the only person who had eyes on him because there is clearly still a load of customers waiting behind me offered to hear my concerns. Once I began explaining to Mohammed how outraged and dissatisfied I was he began to speak over me in a high pitched tone again repeating to me that the stickers were wrong. I then sarcastically thanked Mohammed for assisting with making my experience even worst and he began walking away throwing both items into a bin. I said to Mohammed you were so busy being stubborn you did not hear me tell you I still wanted the items. Mohammed then said well thank you for insulting me and began to retrieve the items from the bin. I have been shopping at tj max for quite some time and have never experienced such disrespect and disregard for customer satisfaction. Mohammed is a complete misrepresentation of tj max but a perfect example of having the wrong person in the wrong position. Mohammed has me questioning if my business is even appreciated or welcome at tj max much less this particular location. I then couldn't help but think maybe if I looked "different " or was dressed different would I have gotten this kind of treatment.
