December 9th 2020, I purchased a egift card for my GF who is a frequent customer of michael's. I have purchased several gift cards online for here in the past. She never had a problem with them. This past weekend I was with her to make a purchase, Something she really wanted. She wants to make candles. So we took the merchandise to the cashier, she pulled up the egift card from her email on her phone. There was no barcode, the cashier was asking for the "code" from the giftcard. What code? All the previous egift cards she received from me she just showed the cashier her phone. we could not use the gift card, so I had to put the purchase on my credit card. So this gift card is useless? we dont know what code the cashier wanted. I am not happy, I am out $75.00. I go to michaels.com and their is no email that I can contact them about this. I do have the confirmation code that I received after I sent her the egift card, which is Confirmation #GJ8DREVM but I didn't have that on me at the store, and is that the code they wanted. She never needed a code in the past. I would like to hear from Michaels about this. I am really not in the position at this time to have to pay for this purchase which was over $75)
