I have $4, 000 in unused personal training sessions (purchased pre COVID) Crunch will not refund. I became sick during COVID. By the time the gym opened I was diagnosed with medical conditions (plural) that prevented me from going to the gym. I contacted them with letters from 2 of my 4 doctors that stated I was too high risk to go to a gym (note the gym at 83rd in the UWS is crammed with low ceilings. Its was not well ventilated pre COVID - not good at all during a pandemic!) They continue to reject my requests, including the bill of sale that shows that we are now in NJ. Now they tell me that the sessions expire in July 2021! I have raised this with my credit card company (Visa). I also just filed a complaint with NY AG. Anyone else facing this issue?
Warning to anyone going to Crunch: DO NOT purchase personal training packages. They never provide you with the contract. They never show you a balance (it's hidden on your account). No one can tell you what your balance it (billing does not have access. Front desk. No access. The only person to see it is the manager at the location of the specific gym you purchased the sessions at. Note managers in other locations have no ability to see (I tried multiple locations). It's hidden and they ignore requests to resolve even if you get sick - or move. They are extremely unethical.
Desired outcome: Refund on unused training credits

I too am in the same boat with $3000 trainers fees that I didn’t agree to. They have continued to bill me after my contract ended. My trainer who no longer works for crunch said this happens a lot. I have been a member since 2013 but now it is so dishonest that I am leaving.
