On Monday, April 8th, 2019 I went to Cohen's Optical at the Staten Island Mall and had an eye exam. The doctor stated that I needed progressive eye glasses and wrote out a prescription. The incompetent sales representative Nicky stated that it would take a minimun of 5 to 7 business days which was going to be impossible for me since I work with computers and needed them right away. Nicky stated that she can provide me with glasses in an hour that I can use for both the computer and to read, so i agreed to pay for the ridiculously high priced glasses and wait an hour for them. When I get into work on Tuesday, April 9th I realized that I cannot see my computer with them and when I take them off my eyesight remains blurry for a few seconds. So needless to say I lost a day of work because of it. I went back to Cohen's after work on Tuesday the 9th and was told by the General Manager Christine Nicoletti that I was not only provided the wrong prescription from the doctor but I was also given a pair of reading glasses only which will not work for the computer. So I purchased a pair of eye glasses that I cannot use. I was there for over an hour without any resolution when at 7pm I decided to head home.
I asked the GM for a full refund because at this point I am truly disgusted because they sold me a pair of glasses that are not worth anything to me. General Manager Christine Nicoletti stated that she was not able to provide me with a full refund until she spoke to the District Manager by the name of Angelica. I am requesting a FULL REFUND because not only did they provide me with terrible customer service but i purchased something that is of no use to me.
