Chili's Grill & Bar - no food after 40 minutes

Today we went to our local Chili's in Dewitt. We promptly ordered wine and our waitress (who said she was new) took our drink order.. brought our wine an took our food order. She was courteous and trying to do a good job. We received our wine and waited patiently for our food. We asked and made it apparent we were waiting WAY too long Other people came and went and were eating. Finally we stood up and asked what was happening and still no food. We left our wine and left for home.
We know that this restaurant has had a tragic event there. We wanted to go back there to have some of our favs... but were sorely disappointed that we didn't even have the chance to have our food. Please get the kitchen/communication act together. We miss our Chili's food... but not enough to wait over an hour for it.
