I reserved my car on a Sunday afternoon.
Monday afternoon I show up to get my car and they tell me we don't have a car for you. They then look up to see that, I do actually have a reservation but nothing is ready. Over an hour later they pull up with a car.
Next I am told they don't have a drop box at this location. I will have to drop my car off 1 hour away from my hotel and 40 mins away from the airport. My flight leaves on a Saturday and this location is a 9-5 establishment, Mon - Fri with no drop box.
Beyond pissed! This is going to cost me over 4 hours of my time. Minimum.
I have been a loyal customer of Hertz for 20 years and this is the worst. I have never even hear of a location without a drop box to return the car. Especially for a 20 year gold member.
The gentlemen behind the counter was just filling in but tried to get me a car as quickly as he could. He also said he was going to try and give me a 10% discount without being solicited for one.
Taxis alone are going to cost me more than the car rental.
An upset customer...
