We picked up the Thanksgiving meal at 4pm on Wed. 11/22 at the location on Dudley Rd., just off Tylersville Rd. in West Chester, OH, and brought it straight home. We took the rolls from their box and put them in a plastic Ziplock bag on our counter, as they felt hard. We put the rest of the food into the refrigerator. We were expecting 9 adults for dinner, and it did not look like enough food for "up to 10," especially at a cost of $175! The containers were not even filled all the way up. We were shocked to see there were literally only 8 slices of ham, and 1 container each of mac & cheese and corn.
We hurried to the store and bought a ham and more food. On 11/23, we made more of everything: green beans, potatoes, gravy, stuffing, and corn. We ate at 4pm. There was plenty of turkey. As it turned out, the 2 containers of green beans, mashed potatoes, and stuffing might have been just enough. But, there would not have been enough corn or mac & cheese, or any leftovers. Most of the food from Bob Evans was good, after we doctored it to our taste, except the rolls and desserts. They were ridiculously hard and nasty tasting, even when warmed or with butter. We wondered how old they were. We had no rolls or dessert for our Thanksgiving meal. Had we known the previous day just how bad they were, we would have purchased more of them too.
Claimed loss: Less than desirable Thanksgiving meal, especially not having any dessert. We had to spend $35 to make it work for us. And it would have been more had we bought more rolls and dessert.
Desired outcome: We would like a refund of $35. Mr. & Mrs. Gil Miller8365 Charming ManorWest Chester, OH 45069
Bob Evans - host or hostess
The experience we had today on a Sunday was just awful. There were at least 10-15 tables open and no one sitting hut on a 20-40 min wait. When asked why no one sitting we were told because of staffing. The hostess was so slow and no care in the world. Would disappear for long periods of time. When we finally got seated the server said I'm sorry I didn't know you were here. She had one other table. That's it. The servers finally caught on and started seating people. You would think this would be one of the busiest stores based on its location. Our server was great and we received our food very timely but first impressions are everything.
Bob Evans - not opening on time.
This is the 3rd time in a month that Bob Evans hasn't opened on time and this is the 2 time in 2 days. It's now 6 am and the lights are off and I see employees waiting outside. It's totally dark inside the restaurant.
So my complaint is to short, this makes no sense. Someone showed up at 6:06 but of course it will be sometime before they are ready for customers.
Thank you
