Jiffy Lube - oil change service

I am extremely unhappy by the tactics used at this Jiffy Lube location. On October 14, 2015, I went for an oil change at the 600 W Street Road, Warminster PA location. I came in with a $10 off oil change coupon. The technician took my vehicle into garage for "assessment of vehicle" and I opted for conventional oil change. The technician told me that the conventional oil was not recommended for my vehicle and suggested a more expensive, upgraded oil. I refused the upsell and was told "my engine could seize". In addition to that scare tactic, he added that my refusal to get this upgraded oil would be on my receipt. I then opted out of any further recommendations that the technician had made for my vehicle. Once he saw that I was not going to agree to any of his upgrade suggestions, his attitude changed (not for the better). I waited for my vehicle to be serviced as I requested. I felt that I was further harassed and intimidated by the employee that was checking me out. He continued to berate me for my oil selection. Again, he tried to use the scare tactics on me about my engine seizing. He went on to state his wife has the same vehicle and the upgraded oil was recommended by dealer. He made the snide remark, "You should check your owner’s manual!” He then made remarks that I should “be careful” because the engine could seize, while shaking his head. He added that he hoped the car was still under warranty. As I was finally ready to leave, he then said loudly “It is noted on this receipt that you did not go with technician’s recommendations!” as he made a big circle around it with his pen. The whole experience was very degrading and aggravating. I do not appreciate the way I was treated. I will NEVER go to this or any other Jiffy Lube location for any service on my vehicle. When I got back to work I did indeed check my owner's manual and it reads "Engine oil (2.0L Eco Boost) Recommended Motor craft SAE 5W-30 Motor oil or equivalent". I then called my Ford dealer. I spoke with someone in service and told him what I was told by the Jiffy Lube technician. He almost laughed at me and said that would not happen. After reading the Google reviews on this place, I see that this happens all the time. I will be sure to let everyone I know about this experience.
