Crossroads Treatment Center - Being mistreated lie to. Counselor kadeshia not attending to their patients and being on phone / apple watch or listening to music

I have been going to Crossroads Treatment Center in Hartsville South Carolina for 10 years which was starting point at one point in time. I had no problems there until the past few months it started with my new counselor Kadeshia starting on in August/September of 2022 I had a bottle recall she only call my house phone at 10:45am but she didn't leave a message and I call right back twice but no answer probably due to they were closed but I did leave a message with Tonya which is the front desk representative because I thought it was about my refund that I was waiting on. I call the next morning and spoke to Tanya and she informed me it was my counselor that had called and I spoke to my counselor and she said it was a bottle recall that I had to come in today but I had already dosed at home. When I got there the nurse had a paper for me to sign statement this would not happen again which is crazy to me because she didn't leave a message like they were supposed to so I don't feel like I should have been held responsible well does even know she didn't leave a message but I overlooked it since they only had me sign a paper and that was a big thing on my end but after all that I wouldn't sit down with my counselor and I spoke to her and told her make sure that she calls both of my numbers because my cell phone does not always get the best reception in my house so please make sure if you don't reach me on my cell phone call my house phone and she agreed that she would. Tonya the front desk lady can also for that elaborate what I'm saying because she knows the same thing. So I thought everything was okay and would be settled from there but it was not because on March 10th I received another bottle recall and my counselor only called my cell phone and I did not notice she called until the next morning because I did not see a missed call from her and plus she did not call me till after 1:20 p.m. and I even spoke to her before asking her what time does she normally leave and she told me 12:45 p.m. so I always make sure I will check my voicemail up to 12:30 p.m. to be safe and that day I did the same thing but she didn't leave a message till after 1:20 p.m. so I did not receive it till the next morning and I found out I had a bottle recall but I had already dosed at home so at this point I feel like my counselor is setting me up to fail and I should have changed counselors long time ago because all my counselor does is mainly be on her phone or her Apple watch or listening to music and apparently barely listens to what I said and there's been multiple times for things and she'll always have to get back to me or forget it makes me feel like I'm not a priority at all but I overlooked all of it because before I got her I had five counselors within one year and it's hard for me to open up right away to people but that was the biggest mistake I did was Overlook it but I thought as long as I do what I'm supposed to I won't get in trouble but was I wrong because all I ask my counselor to do was call both phones that's it but each time she only called one. I still went in because I was on new medication so I know I needed to show the nurse it and front desk because I just recently got diagnosed with stage 2 thyroid cancer so I was one new medication but when I got there I asked my counselor why didn't she call my house phone she replied with I didn't think about it(WOW REALLY) and I asked her again what time do you normally leave and she said 12:45 and I said that's what I thought so why did you call me at 1:20 and she replied it happened sometimes which is crazy to me because we're supposed to have a 24-hour advance coming for a battle recall which if they call you at 1:20 and they're already closed that only gives you the next day to come and what happens if I had something to do that day and could not make it in at all? Before it got changed over to Crossroads and used to be starting point they would call you at least sometime between 6:00 and 8:00 a.m. to give you time to come in that day or the next day so that if the people couldn't come in the next day they could still come in right then and there. As we went to the dosing nurse and I try to explain the situation she pretty much shut me down and already had a preconception of me but I still try to explain myself and told her that I've not always go to once but now twice about to please call the phones because my cell phone doesn't always get the best reception in my house and plus I didn't expect my counselor to call that late and the dosing nurse replied what matters what time they call and I told her it does matter to me because if you were listening like I said I checked my cell phone in the mornings and I check it at 12:30 p.m. to be safe because my cell phone doesn't get the best reception and that's why I asked her to call not just myself and about my house but and that's why the time matters to me because they also call from all different numbers now so you don't always know if it's crosswords calling or not and plus I don't think it gives us enough time to come in especially if we have something to do that day and she said well if she has to call two numbers for you then your counselor should phase you down and at this point I was thinking wow just because I asked her to call an extra number and I really not important at all so I really mean nothing that nobody can call an extra number I never felt so a little in my life like I was a scum on there shoes and a waste of their time and at that point I gave up explain to myself. She told me it was a failed bottle Recall now and I asked her for the number to do a complaint she said she did not have it I would have to look it up but her turn and her voice changed and she started to be polite and reply to me well at least you brought your other bottles and the other ones weren't tampered with so that does look good for you and we will have a meeting on Monday about the situation to see what happens and I told her who would have a meeting and she said everybody here that works here and I told her well who's going to represent me and she said my counselor and that's crazy to me why would I want my counselor that is setting me up to fail to represent me somebody I don't trust and she said that I cannot represent myself which is crazy to me because I don't trust my counselor all I trust is that she's going to do is cover her [censored] and then there's people in there that do not know me at all or my situation or my circumstances except for Tonya that's been there from the beginning with me cuz everybody else is new. When I first started there like I said it was a great place I have no problems Dr Merlin was awesome and when Maria ran things it was smooth and great and Tonya is always been the most sweetest compassionate person and then when Nikki started running things that's when I started becoming bumpy and then we had counselors coming and going and like crazy. But I don't want this to happen to somebody else and somebody else go through the same situation as I did with my counselor or being treated or spoke to like I was. As far as the new doctor I've only met him twice and that was for 3 minutes briefly due to having medical and have to see him every 3 months in my experience with him I would go in you would ask me how I'm doing I would say fine he would tell me pull my my sleeves so I can see your arms and then look at my arms and then he would tell me open my mouth look in my mouth from a far distance in his chair far away and then that would be it it was cold and felt like he didn't want to be there or be around recovering addicts or maybe that's just how he is. But to me that's not professional. I hope I explained everything for you to understand because I'm not that great with writing down my feelings and my complaints and concerns and I'm better at verbalizing it. I hope you do what is necessary to address this problem as soon as possible. If the problem is not corrected within 30 days I may pursue legal action to protect my rights. I hope to resolve this problem amicably and look forward to the cooperation in this matter sincerely, Julie Drake #450

Desired outcome: To have more cameras to be able to watch the counselors for the Castle's way to follow the same rules as us and to not be lied to a mistreated

Crossroads Treatment Center - Administered methadone overdose; subsequent er charges reimbursement request

In the early morning of January 16, 2022 the attending nurse at Crossroads Treatment Centers Hartsville, SC location administered an incorrect dosage of methadone to myself. The medication given was four times higher than my prescribed amount but also belonged to another patient.

When the attending physician realized the tragic error, he phoned me and directed me to the nearest Hospital Emergency Room. By this time nausea and vomiting had already begun while I was traveling alone and a considerable distance from any hospital.

Although this overdose could have resulted in my death as well as others driving on the road with me, I have only asked that the total ER charges of $1897.00 be paid by Crossroads Treatment Center. Because my insurance company was billed, Crossroads refuses to pay the bill or reimburse me. My insurance company is not liable and will be reimbursed. This has caused me great sadness and depression and my very sobriety has been jeopardized. I would appreciate anyone's assistance to this matter... please help, please.

Sincerely,

Undeservedly Overdosed

Desired outcome: The MUSC bill of $1897.00 paid to P.O.Box 7003 Camden, SC 29020. Account number PK0000049354.

You need to delete your name off this bill I would contact their corporate office and if nothing happens I would consult an attorney or you could contact SOTA CARF JAHCO Or the licensing board if they hold a license
