bought a computer 6 months ago at wal-mart because i only like windows 8, not 8.1 or 10, so i bought this new hp 2000. at first, all was fine but then, i could get on google to play my music or purchase movies, but i couldn't play my movies. i didn't think a lot about it because i watch the movies on my google nexus, but the computer wanted to upgrade itself to an 8.1 and wouldn't take no for an answer, so i called windows and they set up to stay blocked and the next 4 months all was well... the, a few days ago it upgraded itself to an 8.1. i called my internet service to find out what happened and they thought it had a virus. it didn't, so they rebooted it and told me to call windows and they could return it to an 8. the next day as they were gonna return it to an 8, it started upgrading to a 10. they told me to let it do its thing and then call them back and they will degrade it and then re-set whole thing and it will return to the 8, but i would need to put all my folder in a drive. after all was done and they tried to do it, it would not let them because since it down graded, it no longer has a media or window. the only way to fix it would be to contact hp and then, of course, that's when the fun began! for 2 days now i have on the phone listening to recordings for hours at a time and told they will set me up with a technician and take care of it, then put on hold, sent back the recordings, onto a new agent then told i'll get a technician this time, then back to the recordings, another agent and over and over again that never ends! to top it off, the computer is less than 6 months old and find out that the warranty expired 7 months before it was even purchased! they seem to want to sell crap like this and not do anything about it but give you the run around.
