The sales basically lied about everything - we were told we could use our points to pay the maintenance fee - not true. We were told we could use points from Interval International - not true. Now we are being double charged.

These folks are snake oil salesmen. Stay far away.
Desired outcome: At least take off double charges. Ideally, just give us our money back

My husband and I can attest that Capital Vacations is a bait and switch enterprise, don't be fooled! RUN!
They will tell you how you can recover all the money you invest in maintenance fees and the price you pay for your points, by reserving resorts in their Marketplace and renting them out. "It is soooo easy" they will say! They do it themselves every year and never pay their maintenance fees! Lies. You have limited resorts to choose from and they are always booked up no matter how far in advance you try. They will tell you that you can trade in half of your points for cash to help you.. but they take FORTY PERCENT of that first and that is after you pay $39.00 to make the transaction! It's so easy to get caught up in all this. All the promises of helping you, but never answer your calls. We put $32, 000 into points and $3500 plus maintenance fees, which go up every year, into this. They want appx $8000 more for a "graceful exit" where we walk away with absolutely nothing. They will keep our timeshare, our points and our $40000.
We did not receive our packet with our login info and instructions on how to use this scam for 2 months after we signed. I called many times asking and got NO help. By the time the packet got there and I was able to see how they had misrepresented how "easy" it was to get your money back out of this, it was too late to back out.
Please... PLEASE RUN! Do not fall for their high pressure, smooth talking tactics as we did. Don't be ignorant like we were. RUN!
Desired outcome: To be back the way things were before we were misled. Our $32000 and our timeshare back.. at least our money. You can keep the points.
What have you done to get out of this timeshare since your they initially offered to the "graceful exit" of keeping all your money, points and charging you $8000 to exit.
Are you planning on just stop paying the maintenance fees? I have points with Capital and would like to get out of this scam. All fees are paid up and current.
i am in complete agreement of the shameful practices of Capital Resort Groups and the way they treat their owners, i have been trying to start a Graceful exit and so far pretty much being stonewalled. i am totally onboard with a class action lawsuit. We started out with Grand Crowne and and were generally well satisfied with them. We too were told if we did not switch to Capital Resorts we would not be able to ever go anywhere but Branson again. This is just one of many many lies from these people and we are tired of being told you only get more if you spend more money with them and keep paying higher and higher maintenance fees. if you attend a meeting with them and you tell you are not going to spend another dollar on upgrading you you are quickly treated disrespectfully and shown the door. (this has happened more then once to us us) We were elite owners in Grand Crowne with membership on the Lodges that went away when we went with Capital Resorts. so it is time owners band together and bring a class action against them! I was a guest at your facility from 5/17 - 5/19/2019. I selected your facility due to the amenities offered, primarily the jetted tub, due to joint pain. I was not interested in using the hot tub due to my concern with germ/bacteria. Well, after filling my tub with water, I was trying to start the jetted tub. I called the front desk for assistance. Nick informed me that none of the jetted tubs in the building work. In addition, after further discussion with the front staff on 5/18/2019, they informed me that the jetted tubs became disabled after the tornado. If I had known ahead of time that the jetted tubs no longer existed, at least, I would have had the opportunity to make an informed decision. By continuing to list this on your websites makes this an obvious and outright False advertisement. I do not like to be mislead. In addition, how many others have been mislead with this false advertisement!
