One part of the food order was not what we ordered and when it was sent back, it took over 15 minutes before it was addressed and another food order that was received was cold and not appealing. As we still waited, our waitress and cook were discussing the fact that it was never redone and the cook was going on break. This conversation took place right by our table. When we asked to see the manager, the waitress was seen nonchalantly sitting with the manager for about 5 minutes and finally the manager came over to attempt to address the issue. The pancakes finally came and there was a reorder on the cold food; however, our waitress avoided coming back to the table and sent food and drink requests by other waitresses, while she was still in our area, not serving any others. Finally, as we were very close to the kitchen, we could hear her make it a point to speak loudly about the fact that this was not her sole job and that she had some training in college in communications, to which, we thought was very petty and irrelevant. What we really found appalling was that the manager allowed this behavior and no one offered us anything to compensate for the poor service.
Our desired solution is to make both the manager and the waitress aware that they did not respond appropriately and they should realize that they showed no professionalism in customer service at all. A discount or refund would have shown some type of concern, but instead, the full amount was paid, and we actually left a small tip out of pity for immaturity of the waitress and the lack of guidance from her manager.
