I received an online gift card from a text promotion via Quickly. It was expiring, so I decided to order today.
From the get go it was inconvenient and unpleasant. The app was making me re-enter my information over and over. I rebooted my phone and tarried forward.
I've recently relocated to Sioux Falls. This was my first time ordering from this location. I'm a longtime consumer of Dominos at my previous location in Los Angeles. Asked for Dominos gift cards for Christmas kind of fan.
I was finally able to order my pizzas. The tracker, which I understand is arbitrary, was not available, but at least gives you a time frame. Ok. Fine. After trying in vain to enter my updated card information, I opted to pay cash along with my promo card. The balance was 11.09. As drivers usually carry at least change for a 20 bill, I was fine with that.
The pizza arrived after 60 minutes. Per my instructions, I'd buzz the driver in to my security building upon arrival. I was called by the driver via personal cell and informed that policy prohibited them from entering the building.
Umm. Ok. There is a reason I ordered food in. It was inconvenient for me to leave my apartment. When asked about this policy, as I get delivery services regularly, Instacart, Grubhub, etc. Brandon informed me that there have been too many robberies. What? What are you trying to imply? I live in a very nice neighborhood in a lovely building.
Now I'm insulted as well as inconvenienced.
I asked for 6 dollars back from my 20 giving a 20% tip after actually very unprofessional service.
I was told he had no change on him. So I stood, holding my order, in my lobby, while he went t his vehicle for change.
The icing? He didn't have the change I requested, only a 5. So basically Brandon made his own tip.
Then upon opening the grease soaked, cold boxes, the pizza was disgusting too. I called the store. Yes I'm angry now. The manager I requested to speak to, Courtney, Was curt, dismissive and blamed her being understaffed and overburdened on me. Accused me of being rude for my very real complaints, and then for the cap to this whole mistake, hung up on me.
I'm really angry. She could have made this better by just apologizing. Boy. Sorry my patronage on a Wednesday afternoon was so awful for you guys!
That's it for me with Dominos. Unfortunately this is the only location that delivers to me. So I'm going to check out other options for pizza.
I'm sure it doesn't matter. But I felt I needed to write.
