This makes our 3rd complaint filed in the last several years. We again visited our local Cracker Barrel restaurant at 7:30pm on February 25, 2020; there were approximately 20-30 customers/ guests dining around this time.
The server took our order of - Grilled Chicken Tenderloin 2 sides, Chicken Dumplings 2 sides, and Haddock 3 sides. Upon placing the order in the kitchen, we were told that they were out of Chicken Dumplings, and insisted we order something else and so we replied that's her everyday choice of order when we come here. Then the manager replied that we could wait 20-30 minutes for Chicken Dumplings order something else. Which our daughter ordered the same thing as her mother did Chicken Tenderloin so that she wouldn't miss out eating with her parents. And so they continued to explain that they didn't have any Baked Potatoes, so I requested if they had Sweet Potatoes, in which they did have one, that tasted/ looked like it was cooked earlier in the evening and reheated - (mostly blackened) inside of the potato skins area. Furthermore, the Haddock was cooked on a griddled top over oil that tasted like it hasn't been changed in awhile, which all I could taste was oil while eating the fish. Management was apologizing repeatedly for the services and food being dissatisfied. But ultimately it doesn't change but a few times throughout the year, then it goes back to dissatisfy taste/food services. It's like clockwork when trying to get dinner at 7:30pm through the week and by 8:30 pm on weekends, they're always out of something and they are refusing to cook something that would hinder the 2-3 early clean up to get out the door when it's closing time, and don't bother eating their if it's past 8:30 pm they would like to refuse to seat their guests because it would hinder the cooks/ staffs early shut down.
