I was lied to by the Finance guy at AutoNation at Arlington. I was told that in getting the warranty that I could cancel it at the end of the month and lower my monthly payment. I went back to speak with the GM and they agreed they would cancel the warranty and the funds would be sent towards the principal of the loan and he explained and apologized for the dishonesty of their finance department. The very same week I received an email to rate the "Service" provided by their service department. I am assuming to avoid giving me the refund they spoke of. I went two weeks later and I have spoken directly to the finance manager who said there was no paperwork even submitted. So I submitted the paperwork and was assured I would be contacted within 7 days and If no proof was submitted that the funds would be sent to the lienholder (I. E me) however I was patient and have reached out twice since the beginning of the process after signing all of the documentation to get a solid timeline before I begin reaching up the ladder to whoever will listen. they gave a 4 week timeline after making me wait 2 months. this problem has been ongoing since March we are going into June and I have not heard anything 3 months have passed and I am beginning to feel like they want me to forget about it. This is not a manner in which what an esteemed dealership should be conducting business.
Desired outcome: I would appreciate the refund they spoke to me about for the warranty and for this to be expedited as it has been an ongoing problem since February.
EDIT: After Speaking with the bank it seems they lied once more and have only partially refunded me the warranty funds. after 3 months of wasting my time. I assume the penalty for the fake service provided.
