We have been going to this restaurant for the past 6 yrs sometimes twice a month. My husband loved their "open roast beef sandwich". On 8/3/19 we noticed on this visit that there was all new employees throughout. Husband ordered his usual indicating he wanted only white gravy plus bring extra white gravy. The waiter "Dakota" took the order along with mine & our 2 guests. When he brought the orders my husbands plate had brown & white gravy on his plate (even an extra bowl of white gravy). Told the waiter only "white" gravy. Dakota took back & again brought it back stating "this is the way it comes". We indicated no brown gravy, again he took it back & the assistant manager came. He tried to state this is the way it is made and you get both. No we have been coming here 6 yrs & at no time is there brown gravy. And in the past we are asked what gravy we wanted. The assistant manager got a little huffy stating we were wrong & he was right. After much arguing back & forth my husband was asked what else he would want & he said "nothing". So the 3 of us ate while my husband sat with a glass of ice tea. When we got the check he was charged for his "meal". The waiter said it was up to the assistant manager to take it off. Of course we weren't going to pay for a meal he didn't get or eat. Finally the check was brought back taking off his meal. After all those years of getting "only white gravy" don't try to tell us the roast beef is cooked in brown gravy & you get both. Who eats 2 different types of gravy at the same time? Well needless to say, we are extremely disappointed and will not return. The staff especially the assistant managers need to know how to talk to customers and not make you feel like your "wrong" and they are "right". If the meal has been changed per the cook or whom ever, then indicate that. Don't keep insisting thats the way its always been made. We know how its been on all of our visits. Like I said before he was new so he needs to get his act together to make the customer feel welcome. Don't keep standing there arguing and then turn around and leave in a huff!

I've worked for them for years and if they're been serving the roast beef without gravy they are preparing it wrong. The roast beef is cooked in individual crocks and covered in brown gravy before they go in the oven
