Mr. Cooper - Mortgage

Mr cooper told me we were approved for a forebearance, and that the remaining would attach to the end of the loan. I did everything they asked of me, and then made the payments they said I needed to on the dates I needed to. Each month I started getting a letter saying I owed more. I called the first month and the lady said it was their error because the payment tracker wasn’t working properly. The following month, they said I was supposedly $6 short of the payment, then they said I wasn’t and fixed it. The last month the lady said she even put notes that they keep messing it up. Now, this month I get a notice saying my house will go into foreclosure, they are trying to steal my house. I have made the payments they asked on time, every single month I’ve had to call over and over and be on hold for hours trying to get in touch with these people and then get it corrected only for it to happen again the following month. It is nearly impossible to get them on the phone and they keep telling me I have to call

Back and talk to someone in a different department because they are trying to steal my family’s home (with two children living here) from under us. I have read several others complaining of the same issue with Mr. cooper. This is not okay and it needs to be fixed. I cannot be homeless with my children due to Mr. coopers errors.

Desired outcome: Fix the mistakes on our loan, we have made all of the payments requested (after the 3 month forebearance). Read our file showing how each month we have to call to get it corrected, while we continue to make payments.

Thank you, I’m doing the same, they owe me for $4000 + for forced place flood insurance they k ow is through my HOA and I send them proof monthly, my property management company sent them proof as well as the insurance broker that handles the master policy. They continue to deduct flood coverage and each time I call I’m on the phone for 3 hours, not exaggerating. Escalation, by the way is simply another customer service rep. This is a disgrace, they just got sue for $90 million in a kickback scheme with Assurant, apparently the kickbacks are worth way more because even with the lawsuit, they continue to rob people blind. You have to look at the portal daily, actually numerous times a day as what you owe will change, they try to trick customers into making an error to steal your home, this is so true.

contact the federal trade commision and file a report, the better business bureau and file a report, the attorney general and secretary of state for wherever you live and file a report, contact the mortgage compliance in your state and file a report, and contact the senators in your state as well, I have done all these things as well as contacting a washington post reporter and a reporter for the business insider. They got sued in 2020 under a different name and still are operating this same way. I am sorry you too, are going though this.

Mr. Cooper - Mortgage

Unfortunately, my mortgage was sold to this company. I have excellent credit for starters. I have had nothing but problems with this company since day one. I send in a escrow check that they wrongly applied to the principal and made 6 phone calls to them all at least 35 minutes or longer. They are overcharging my escrow about 1500 a year. They didn't fix my escrow check and reapply it to the right funds. They are also adding extra taxes onto the bill, 10 here, 5 dollars, there 15 there. When I spoke to LaCrisha yesterday I was given 4 different payments amounts in one phone call for my payment next month. This is really sad that a big billion dollar company can take advantage of those of us our here working hard and just trying to survive in this economy. I would like my escrow reevaluated and all the extra taxes and fees they want to add to my account. I think they are a predatory and fraudulent company. They were suid in 2020, but somehow are still operating and doing the same bad business practices. THE FTC, Attorney General, Senators, BBB, and other powerful agencies need to look into this. Innocent people are loosing their homes or credit, due to this bad business. I cannot wait to refinance when the interest rates go down. I hope this gets handled.

Desired outcome: My escrow account needs to reflect that my property taxes for my town are only 2414 a year, and not the 3500 they are saying. They are charging me 373 in escrow monthly and it should only be about 205.

Mr. Cooper - Insurance claim

Dear Sir: I had a fire at my residence 5579 Chamberlain, St. Louis, MO [protected] in September 2019. At that time my mortgage for this residence was being serviced by Nationstar acct. #[protected] my insurance Company was Nationwide and they sent me a check in the amount of $22, 385.30 they included my name (Cleo Barnett) my husband's name (James Barnett) and Nationstar on the check. I spoke to from Mr. Cooper and was instructed for my husband and I to sign the check and send it to Mr. Cooper P.O. Box 6501 Springfield OH 45501. We were displaced from our residence and did not return until after January 2020. My mortgage was changed from Mr. Cooper to SPS Servicing sometime around October, 2019. However the check did not get sent to SPS Servicing. According to Nationwide the check could not be stopped and reissued because it was deposited by Mr. Cooper. I have made several attempts to have this check returned either to Nationwide or myself so the Contractors (BluSky) can get paid in the meantime BluSky has filed suit against me for non payment. I sent a cover letter when the check was originally sent in along with my property address and the account number of my mortgage and I believe thru error from someone in the department it was sent to may have placed it in a wrong account but I have not had any success in getting this handled. I am retired and living on limited income and do not wish to give money to an attorney when I am sure there had to be a mistake in the handling of this check. All I am asking is this to be rectified and reissue this check to the rightful owners or the Contractor who performed the work. If you need to contact me I can be reached at [protected] (home) or [protected] (cell). Thank you and I would appreciate any help in this serious matter before my property is taken from me. I haven't been able to get any restful sleep since I was served to appear in Court.

Desired outcome: Refund my Insurance check that was sent to you for work performed at 5579 Chamberlain

Mr. Cooper - Mortgage

Due to Mr Cooper deciding to make a tax payment 11 days prior to its due date it included that payment to my escrow. Although my taxes has not increased by much nor has my insurance they included a 5th tax payment in a 4 quarter period. After several call to them they have told me they projected a 5th payment and it is was it is and the calculations are correct. I was also told that if they did not include that 5th payment I would be short next year... Which makes no sense because there is always only 4 quarters in year. The past 5 years with this company the escrow analysis there has always ever been 4 tax payments included. Why this year?

Mr. Cooper - Mortgage

Mr. Cooper is the worst mortgage company to ever exist. Their customer service should be an example for why companies go out of business and frankly, I hope they do. Just terrible.

They lost my July payment and didn't bother to tell me. They received it, they just simply lost it after they received it. I have the proof including their signature. It cost me $196.06 to fix their screw up and they simply don't care. There is no management. You call and they pretend there is a manager but that person is apparently always out of the office and apparently doesn't return calls or get voicemails.

Return my $196.06 and give me an apology and THEN I will stop posting this story every single place I can.
