We just recently became members of Planet Fitness two months ago off of Fry Road, and noticed a late fee charge on my account. When I asked the manager to waive the fee, she said "if you didn't get a text from us to waive the fee, then there's nothing I can do about it." ,After withdrawing 84 dollars for the annual fee, and soon to be withdrawing another 32 dollars for this month, it would be great in her part to help. When I asked to speak to her manager, she refused and immediately asked for my number insisting to cancel my account herself. I refused to do so until I spoke with someone who could help me.
For this reason, I will be cancelling my account with Planet Fitness because of her unprofessionalism in her unwillingness to listen to me in offering the help I needed. When I expressed my disappointment in her attitude, she encouraged me to cancel and to leave the premise as if I was the problem.
We are the clients who are paying for the services and it would be a valuable relationship in service to provide a way in helping us with small things like this. For this reason, I will not commit to the year as planned, therefore, I will no longer be paying the monthly fee.
Desired outcome: I would like my late fees waived because they already received their payment they needed from me.
