I am being told to schedule an appointment with vendors directly instead of the management scheduling it for me with the times I have set for them. I have not been scheduling these appointments, so I am not sure why I need to do it this time around after I have been waiting for parts for over a week. If this was summer, we would have probably gotten very ill. I saw many people have been dealing with this as well. Luckily it is the cooler part of the year in Texas but I had to spend money on a window unit, the company will not provide one. This is in violation with the city code. Owner is being fined. If anybody is here for the same issue, please call 311.
A lawsuit is going to open up sometime soon and I hope the people win. Temperatures over 83 degrees can damage the interior of a home and ones sanity. I also own a dog whom internal body temperature is higher, this heat was harming her health and giving her diarrhea. It also cause my eczema to break out.
Vendor said many AC units were improperly installed, if they know this they need to be prepared and have spare parts at hand or window units for tenants' safety. It's not fair. I have been seeing low ratings all over about this company. I wish my rental company was never bought out by Home River.
On top of that contacting any property management out of the Maintenace portal is impossible. I had been going in circle just to get an AC unit. Every time I ask they kick me in a circle. Nobody knows anything. I just need a YES OR NO.
If I don't get my deposit back after this I'm going to be furious. I have been very patient, but this company makes it so hard for me to maintain any patience. I feel hopeless as nobody can help even if they wanted to
They also depend on you to cut your grass, so all the neighbors hate this company too.
Upon moving in as well the house was extremely dusty and our window was falling off the house. We had holes in the floor and wall too. The paint is so thin it rubs off with any slight scratch and turns gray. I really hope they don't plan on using my deposit to paint this house as it wasn't even painted when I moved in.
The new portal doesn't even have my lease information in it, luckily I have it saved.
Desired outcome: I need an apology for lack of attention, and my full deposit back o at least some form of compensation for this inconvenience. This is not okay,
